A bit about myself

I love to read good stories, and there is a trove of them in fanfiction sites; I hope to contribute something enjoyable back to this community. Though I do not have the baggage to write stories that I would find compelling, I am certainly trying my best - I appreciate any pointers from the more experienced on this site. I am a slow writer, and not a native English speaker - so expect a few plotholes here and there. My routine can be pretty hectic, so while it may seem I have vanished, I'll do try not to forget you all.

The penname: beyondmightffn - it is derived from my most ambitious work. Someone had already registered the name without the -ffn a long time ago on ffnet. I had never used this nickname on any other site before creating this and the account on AO3 (the same, but without the -ffn), so if you want to contact me, there are only these two venues for now.

Source material

Harry Potter: the seven original books, the eight movies, a history of fanfiction reading. I am not interested in the other movies, books, games, etc at the moment. Whatever aspects of them do appear in the stories I write are probably derived from something or another I read in a fanfiction.

WORKS

Beyond Might: my main fic, in which I spent far too much time plotting; an attempt to bring that something magical of the four initial books. I have the general idea for the whole of it and the rough outline for the first and part of the second year. The chapters are quite big and tough to write, so updates are very spaced out.

Cindered Spirits: an experimental work, using a lot of concepts devised for the main fic. I've lost some of the motivation to write it, but still hope to come back and continue it eventually.

What of Magic if not Flights of Whimsy: Harry and Luna being two little oddballs - the palate cleanser of my fanfics. I lost the outline of this one, but I've been thinking of a way to put together some of the ideas I remembered.

The Seeker and the Golden Witch: a funny exercise on a strangely rare pair. It's already wholly outlined, albeit I'm changing some things here and there as I write it. I enjoyed this one too much not to stop writing it these days.
