Author has written 3 stories for Inuyasha, and Harry Potter.
Hello. I am the Daughter of Shadow, and despite the super hokey and mysterious name, I'm not really that much of a puzzle. I am here because I love reading and writing fanfiction, and my current obsession, Inuyasha, by the ever-marvelous, ever-talented Rumiko Takahashi is the current focus. Do not expect to find personal information here, beyond my preferences, so you can know what kind of stories to expect.
I admit it fully. I am an idealist. I love romance and happy endings and beauty coming out of sadness and darkness. I will put my borrowed characters through Hell, often, but they will always emerge victoriously in the end. I tend to prefer redemption to Death, though Naraku's evil foulness, has pretty much destroyed any sympathy that I might have had for him, so no Naraku victorious in these stories, unless he will fall at the hands of heroes once again.
My favorite character of all the wonderfully complex and intriguing characters in this wonderful series is Sesshomaru, so prepare to see a lot of him in my stories, but believe me, there will be no shortness of the others as long as my pen rules.
Pairings that I condone the most strongly: Inuyasha and Kagome, Sango and Miroku (Kami, their whole relationship is just so sweet and tragic), Koga and Ayame. Though I know that Ayame only had a small part in the Anime, and I don't even think she appeared in the Manga, she just seems so perfect for our stubborn, hot-headed Wolf Lord!
As for other possibilities, my opinions on those have expanded quite a bit. Though I don't really like the Sesshomaru/Rin pairing beyond the innocent and lovely father-daughter relationship, I understand those who wish to make them a couple as long as it is NOT done when she is a child. One of my latest favorite additions is the Inuyasha/Sesshomaru pairing, because even though incest is unacceptable in the Human world (for both genetic and moral reasons), we all know that Youkai are different, and those two are just too darn HOT!
Despite, my rather strong opinions, I do try to be open-minded and as long as there is a well-written story behind it, I am receptive to almost anything. I have seen several ideas here that I have liked and that I use in my stories, but I will always make sure to give credit for getting them from someone else, even if I don't remember that author's name. I try and review all the stories that I like to encourage the talented writers here, so I hope I will get the same from others. Please relax and enjoy. I hope you get as much pleasure reading these stories as I got writing them.
September 4th 2013:
Dear readers. I know that it has been ages since I updated anything on this site, so I just wanted to give you a quick rundown on my situation. Call it an excuse if you like, but I think that all of you deserve some acknowledgement for your faithfulness, patience and continued interest.
I recently lost my previous computer to a virus, which completely devastated my internet connection and almost scrapped my hard disc. I wasn't even sure that my story, which I have been adding to, slowly, had survived. It was really scary and upsetting, but now I am on a new PC, and though there have been some losses, which I will have to fill in and repair, the story survived pretty much in tact and, obviously, I am back on the internet.
My time is much less dear currently, which also happened right around the time the virus hit, which was very frustrating, and though I am not sure how much longer this reprieve is going to last, at least I have some time now. Expect to see more updates on The Tormented Road, and a new addition called Reaching For You. To start making an appearance, hopefully, soon. This is not an Inuyasha fanfic, it is from my latest interest; the Harry Potter universe, but do not fear, Faithful Readers, my Inuyasha interest is still strong and The Tormented Road will not suffer.
I hope that you are all still interested in continuing to follow my writing, and once again I apologize for how long it has been. You guys are the best, and I cannot even begin to express how much I have appreciated all your interest, support and comments. Thank you all so much!
