Author has written 8 stories for Doctor Who, Merlin, and Labyrinth.

Who: Hiddenriver

What: Web developer, mom, wife, e-crusader, filker. I have an odd sense of humor.

Where: I'm an American. Brits will probably guess that, though I go to great lengths to keep Americanisms out of my fics.

Why: I don't watch TV much, but occasionally a show comes along and inspires me. All of Joss Whedon's shows did that. These days, it's Doctor Who (and Torchwood, to a lesser degree).

When: I majored in screenwriting in college, but life intervened and I stopped writing for, well, let's just say it was a very long time. I wrote my first fanfic (for BtVS) in 2002. Didn't write another until 2007. Now it's starting to become a habit - but as a working mom, I'm never going to be very prolific.

How: I write slowly and methodically. Okay, it's more of an obsessive-compulsive thing, I suppose.

Note: I love feedback. Constructive criticism is welcomed and appreciated.

The Last Dance reviews
Very short story inspired by a dream I had last night (yeah, I know, sounds corny). I haven't written fan-fiction in years, but it hit me hard and I wanted to get it written down before it faded.

The Four Ghosts reviews
A familiar Christmas story, Who style. SPOILER ALERT: This was loosely inspired by casting/set spoilers for the Xmas 2009/New Years 2010 specials. The specials won't happen like this, but please do not read if you're trying to remain completely unspoiled.

Lessons from the Past
The Doctor yields to temptation and discovers what he should have known all along. Short and sweet. Moved here from another archive. Thinking about removing this one - I don't like it very much, to be honest.
Doctor Who - Rated: K - English - Drama - Chapters: 1 - Words: 350 - Published: 6/9/2008 - Complete
No Place Like Aktum reviews
The Doctor and Rose visit an unusual planet. This is a straight-out, old-school SF adventure story with only a hint of shipping - sort of like the series itself. Inspired by the home/Dalek challenge. Moved here from another archive.
