DarkBluexx Profile v. 2.0
(updated 3/28/10)

The name.
Dark Blue = An addicting song by an amazing artist; the current color of my nails, my walls and my label maker; a quartz; an eye color and result of a 10,000 year old mutation; an awareness ribbon for free speech, education, Huntington’s disease and water awareness (just to name a few); the color of someone’s really cool shoes; happiness on a mood ring; the throat chakra; an aura of fear; the color of the sea; the color of my skinny jeans and favorite flavor of gum; navy, midnight and slate; #191970, #000080 and #00008b in Hexadecimal color codes; often times makes a lovely exclusion layer; goes well with warm colors; when accompanied with gold, my school colors; the color of veins; the color of the hair tie on my wrist, the Connect Four box on my shelf and the iPod speakers on my chair.

The Fics.
And the reason you're here.

Split But Whole
(Fandom: ATLA)

I'm killing this soon so don't bother with it. Too longgg. BUT, before I delete it, I'll hopefully have the new version up that has much shorter chapters and jumps to the chase in chapter two--unlike this, which never did. Kind of a fun little side project rather than a big massive effort, but I still think it will be loads better. UPDATE: Lucky Spin has been added to the mix. Starts up at Ch. 4 of SBW, skips to Ch. 8/9 combo and then moves on to new progress in the plot. I promise to never ever write a huge monstrously long chapter again or take more than a month to write two chapters.

Intricacies of Loneliness
(Fandom: ATLA)

A Zuko/Katara post-series fic that doesn’t stray from the canon ending. It spans over a 2-3 year time cushion (about). It’s a four installment one-shot type thing and it features Aang, Sokka, Suki, Azula and of course, Zuko and Katara.
In a nutshell:
Development of their fun twisted relationship, more long ramblings, no more updates because it’s all done and… double entendres? Apparently.

Three Single Major Factors
(Fandom: Harry Potter)

A three-part short piece dispersed over various parts in and after the books. Basically plot-less drabbley shtick featuring Harry, Draco and Tom, but I kinda liked it. First shot at HP.
In a nutshell:
Elaboration of the three defining qualities that seem to play a pretty huge role in each of the three and un-beta-ed hardly planned prose. I don't really know how else to describe it. Based on a wallpaper I Photoshopped--message me if you'd like to see.

The jamz.
Inspiration for long chapters and plot enhancers comes and goes. If not for Last.fm and my iPod, it would just go. My favorites deserve some credit.

Jimmy Eat World, Motion City Soundtrack, Modest Mouse, Ben Kweller, Jack’s Mannequin, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Postal Service, Dntel, Band of Horses, Stars, Passion Pit, Iron and Wine, Her Space Holiday, The Cure, Something Corporate, Guster, Ben Folds, The Strokes, Matt Costa, The Decemberists,Throw Me The Statue, Faded Paper Figures, The Format, The Shins, The Kooks, Matt & Kim, Blue October, Kevin Devine, Rogue Wave, MGMT, Pete Yorn, Rilo Kiley, Goo Goo Dolls, PlayRadioPlay!, Bright Eyes, Bishop Allen, mewithoutYou, Matt Pond PA, Sea Wolf, Five For Fighting, Say Hi (To Your Mom), Coconut Records, Harlem Shakes, Miniature Tigers, Maritime, Voxtrot, Pinback, This Providence, The Killers, Matchbox 20, Phoenix, Greenday, Owl City, Death Cab For Cutie, The Honorary Title, Hellogoodbye, Mates of State, fun.

If it's indie, indietronica or powerpop, I'll probably love it.

(in no particular order)

The main projects.
NaNoWriMo is the only reason I still write daily without break. It also kind of turned me off from fanfic because I realized novel-ing to meet deadlines is a lot more exciting. The raw unedited first draft of my original piece, Biology of Two (working title), is 116,380 words and my priority. However, while I let it simmer until around May-ish when I dive in for the first revision, I'll be here, rewriting old stuff and coming up with some new things.

A short prequel type story of Bio of Two will eventually be posted on my LJ (link above) along with another short fic I wrote based on the song, Seven Digit Pin Code by The Format. I consider my original pieces to be some of my best most of the time and any other short ones will be posted there if anyone's interested in reading.

Lucky Spin reviews
Having forgotten her history and fallen into a runaway act, Nilima found archery first and from there who was to say it was impossible to live strictly in the present? OC-centric in fandom timeline, R&R would be appreciated.
