Hey there! The name is Kim and just a little bit about me:

More than anything else, I wanna travel. I want to take off one day without a real goal in mind and just explore the world. I just want to follow my heart and my instincts and discover this world and what it has to offer. But until that dream can become a reality, I will suffice by enduring college, which I'll begin this year. I'm 18 and admitting that makes the reality sink in... I mean I know I'm 18, I just haven't acknowledged it yet... I work hard and I have big goals, dreams, aspirations, and expectations. I won't allow anything to weigh me down. I'm my own person and often rely on myself much more than I should cuz I just can't ask for help sometimes. At present I live in the land of neverending sunshine, which doesn't give much to go on. However, as soon as possible, I will most definitely escape from this awfully hot place though it's all I've ever known. Oh, and also Starbucks=life. No joke. So that's my little blurb...

Books: Twilight Saga; A Greate and Terrible Beauty Series; Sarah Dessen novels - particularly This Lullaby and The Truth About Forever; Atonement; 1984; Laurie Halse Andersen novels - Speak and Catalyst; and various others I can't remember at the moment.

Movies: THE DEPARTED is the best movie ever, hands down. Leonardo DiCaprio is absolutely amazing and I love everythings he's in. Noteworthy mentions: Across the Universe; Crash; the Bourne Series; Fight Club; Good Will Hunting; RENT (though sadly, I've never seen the Broadway production and never will now); Garden State; Atonement; and again, various others

Televison: Well, I'm a nerd. No, really I am... I swear all I watch is a combination of the following - CNN, the Discovery Channel, and the Travel Channel. Of course, I like to mix things up sometimes with the History Channel, but that's only if I'm feeling particularly wild. Bravo's good too. My only obsession outside of these channels is America's Next Top Model but I can only watch that when its on massive reruns on MTV (the only thing that channel's good for IMO). The real reason I don't watch the usuals (ie American Idol and whatever other shows are just SOO popular at the moment) is that I'm never home during that primetime time when television shows are aired... I blame work and a lack of Tivo or other such devices. I like LOST too, but I missed the majority of season 3.

Music: Jack's Mannequin; Rise Against; Jimmy Eat World; Linkin Park; Matchbox 20; Hellogoodbye; I'm starting to like the Format; Dashboard Confessional; Taking Back Sunday; and whenever I'm feeling nostalgic, anything from the prime 90's era. I'm not all that in the know with recent releases since I listen to my iPod everytime I'm in the car and so I therefore rarely listen to the radio to hear what's out. Rihanna who?
