Author has written 6 stories for Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. Name: Rosalia(Rose) is what I go by on here. Gender: Girl Age: 23 Goals/Dreams: Graduate collage, become a published author, Hey readers, welcome to my profile! I try to update regularly, but life sometimes gets hectic, and I get writer's block that can last for months. Currently I'm completely obsessed with Miraculous Ladybug, and I highly suggest looking it up and watching it! Destiny is a Funny Thing: On hiatus Cycle of Souls: On Hiatus Wherever You Are: Updating sporadically Temporarily removed: (Old title): More than just a game (currently): Untitled: This is a sort of 'what if' kingdom hearts fic. In it, Riku gets a Keyblade when the Islands are swallowed by the darkness. There is good reason for how this change occurred, and as can be expected, there are MAJOR plot changes. So keep an eye out for it, whenever it gets posted! I found this on tumblr and had to share it. Here comes some serious talk about fandom mentality. I feel like there’s a huge failing on readers’ parts to communicate to fic authors how much they appreciate their works or how much it affects them. More often than not, it gets translated into silence, and coming from a writer, the silence is probably the worst. you never know if they like it, you never know what the reader actually thinks about it. or even if they read it at all. and it’s… heartwrenching, and nervewracking and you start constantly questioning yourself and wondering if you’re actually good enough or if you belong. and you start comparing yourself to the people who are popular, to the people with huge followings, to the people who get questions and art and compliments up the wazoo. and you start wondering if you should have bothered writing at all. in some cases you start begging. and in some cases, you do worse. And it’s terrible. a writer shouldn’t have to beg. a writer shouldn’t have to only get attention when they’re frustrated or upset. a writer shouldn’t have to doubt themselves every time they pick up a pen or open their laptop. a writer should never feel so unimportant that they consider deleting their work–and do. if, at this point, you are thinking, “well, writers shouldn’t write for attention anyway! writers should be writing for themselves!” then you are missing a Very Huge Point about the intricacies of and emotions behind creating art. of course art comes from the self, but art is meant to be shared. with people. like you. art is created for people to talk back to, to engage with, to live alongside–and yes, that in turn bolsters the creator’s own securities and motivation. it’s also a sad testament to the fact that we as a people have come to condemn the notion that anyone, especially content creators, should want attention at all. and that’s toxic, and an awful mentality to have. what I’m trying to say here is this: a lot of this could be prevented by one simple thing. if you read a fic you like, speak up about it. I don't suffer from insanity... I enjoy every minute of it. If you are insane, enjoying every second, and proud of it, copy this and paste it into your profile. I am the girl that doesn't go to school dances, or games, and when I do go, I sit in a corner and read a book. I am the girl that people look through when I say something. I am the girl that spends most of her free time reading, writing, or doing other activities that most teenagers wouldn't call normal. I am the girl that people call weird and a freak either behind my back or to my face. I am the girl that doesn't spend all her time on MySpace, or talking to a girlfriend on a cell phone or regular phone. I am the girl that hasn't been asked out in a year. I am the girl that has stopped to smell the flowers and jump and splash in the rain. BUT I am also the girl who knows and is proud to be who she is, doesn’t care if people call her weird (it's a compliment), who loves reading and writing and doing the things that no one seems to have the time to do any more, who can express herself better with words than actions, who doesn't need a guy to complete her, and knows the importance of the little things. Copy and paste this onto your account, and add your name to the list, if you are anything like me, so the girls who are different and unique can know in their weakest time that they are unique but not alone.: Iheartjake1220, FaerieRose13, Dancer4Life15,Marigold Winters, SparklingTopazEyes, alpha-omega1996,James Stark, Life is no Fairytale, |
