Hello. I am 23 years old, female, and an aspiring novelist. I'm also happily married as of September 30, 2017. You can find me on Twitter under the handle OuzoAthena11, and the same for tumblr. Twitter has more day to day updates as I remember to update that more frequently.
I'm sorry I haven't been updating. I want to. I've been writing somewhat. Not always on the things I actually want to be doing, but I am writing. Sometimes. Stress, being tired at the end of my shift, migraines, and being sick have been interfering regularly. I also have a continuing problem with procrastination and for the duration of winter, a struggle with lack of motivation. Seasonal Affective Disorder is annoying. As soon as daylight started shortening, physical depression symptoms started showing up. No return of the mental symptoms, thankfully, but I've never really noticed the difference before. It's probably because my mental health has been really good since April, as well as the fact I'm no longer on any anti depressants as of October.
Either way, I'm working on several projects. I don't plan on updating any fanfics until I have at least one chapter for some of my better ones ready. Aside from that, I have some projects I'm not posting at all either until they're done or they're far enough along I have several chapters I can post. There's also a fanfic on AO3 under the same name as here that I haven't posted here yet that I probably should start doing.
I will attempt to respond to reviews when I get them, as input and praise both mean a lot to me. However, I respond better to constructive criticism than mindless praise, insults, rudeness, and condescension. So please keep that in mind and I'll enjoy responding and conversing with you about the quality of my work. I want nothing more than to improve and see people enjoy my work. I can't improve without proper reviews.
I rarely leave reviews for other people, so if you ask me to read a story don't expect one unless you want me to give you constructive criticism, as that's the only type of review I will give. I don't feel comfortable giving mindless praise, partially because I hate it, but also because I don't see the point of reviewing if that is all I have to say about the chapter. Part of the reason I don't always review is because I read so much fanfiction I often treat it like a book and don't want to say anything. There's also the fact that a lot of updates I read when I'm at work so I can't review then. My reviews also tend to be on the longer side and that takes time to type, time I don't always have even with a decent typing speed.
