Hi everyone

I'm a young guy, in college, and also an aspiring writer (that could've gone without saying, couldn't it?).

I'm a college student, slated for graduation by December, '10. After that, I plan on joining ALERT (Air Land Emergency Resource Team), a Christian paramilitary first-responder organization based out of Texas. I will be going through all 3 phases of that organization, a process that will last around 12 months, receiving my formal law enforcement training through them. After I complete ALERT, I will join the ARMY as a commissioned officer, a position I will fill for at least 4 years. After my ARMY service is done, I intend on returning home and starting a career with our local police department, climbing through the ranks as far as my training and ability take me. I plan on being a police officer indefinitely, but may pursue a political career as early as the age of 35.
These are my plans. But ultimately, I will follow Christ wherever He leads me.

For anyone interested in what I (usually) write about and what I (might) have upcoming, let me first say that I am MOSTLY a Narnian fanfic writer. I love Narnia and everything it portrays. In case anyone was wondering, in my POV, Aslan = Jesus Christ, and my characters will view Him as such. If that offends anyone, I won't be surprised.

Two genres of fanfic I will NEVER write: Slash or incest (or both). Everything else, however, is fair game...

Anyway, here are a few fics that I'll get to eventually...yeah, something like that :-) I'll update my progress as I go along.

Oreius Remembers: A week after the battle of Beruna, Oreius stands before a gravesite and reminices on a comrade he never knew. Completed

The End of Maugrim: WINNER OF THE LION'S CALL 2008 LION AWARD - DIGORY KIRKE AWARD FOR BEST DEVELOPMENT OF A MINOR CHARACTER. Peter forever thought that Maugrim's last words were directed to him. The boy never knew that the wolf was speaking only to himself. Movieverse, slightly AU, slighty dark. Completed (I'm also thinking of writing a companion piece to "The End of Maugrim" from the POV of Oreius...we'll see where that one leads)

Fields of Golden Barley: Songfic, based on "Fields of Gold" by Sting. Corin/Lucy. An angsty look into how a boy won the heart of a woman, and a Prince became worthy of a Queen. In Progress

Will You Remember Me?: Songfic of Tim Buckley's "Once I Was." Back in England, the High King remembers Narnia, and wonders if Narnia remembers him. Completed

Two Kings: Planning stages. Interaction between Peter and Caspian...Caspian (out of his hero worship for Peter) is more than willing to step aside for Peter to reign once again, but Peter rebuffs him...basically Peter expounding on his "I haven't come to take your place, you know, but to put you into it" line, explaining to Caspian exactly WHY he's not seeking the throne of Narnia. This will be a oneshot

Before the Wardrobe (or until I figure out a better title, lol): Awaiting release. My masterpiece (I hope). A fic I've had in my mind for a LONG time...a story C. S. Lewis didn't tell...and I'm sure you've all heard that before. I'll be writing this with a friend - however, I'm in college and he's in law school, SO this fic will be awhile in coming. I have the entire story from beginning to end in my head, but won't be writing it until my friend is available...which could be several years :-( But I intend to eventually finish this piece and can't wait to share it with you. FYI, I have several reasons not to complete this piece until my buddy can join me - 1. Because he's a better, more descriptive writer than I am :-), 2. Because his grasp on the English language is much greater than mine, and 3. Because I think so highly of the potential of this story, I want to ensure that it is written in the best possible manner. Between the two of us, I think my pal and I can turn this creation of mine into a masterpeice.

As suggested by the title, this fic primarily will take place during the Great Winter and will tell the story of a massive uprising against Jadis that took place 15 (Narnian) years before the Pevensies came through the Wardrobe. I've received permission from Elecktrum to use the characters from the "Sword and Shield, Jewel and Song" Community for this fic, thus automatically adding a great deal to the storyline (THANK YOU ETERNALLY, ELECKTRUM!!). Oreius is a major character, Kanell will figure in A LOT, Celer will make multiple appearances, Tumnus's father will have a role in flashbacks, and Cyn will be featured extensively. I will also be introducing a humanoid race of Narnians that matriarchally descended from the line of Frank and Helen and patriarchally descended from the only elf ever to set foot on Narnian shores. Throughout the centuries, these people had the lifespan of their elvish patriarch and took the names of their matriarch's line for themselves. The women of this race were healers, dedicated to saving lives. The men of this race were master swordsmen, commanded by Aslan Himself to be Narnia's protectors in battle. The Warrior Race was their title, for that is what they were. For centuries, these men were Narnia's shocktroops, the backbone of their military...until Jadis invaded.

That's all I'm going to tempt you with for now. The main character will be a young male Warrior named William (non-Narnian name, I know - but remember that this race took on the names of Frank and Helen's lineage) and his destiny as the fulfiller of a prophecy.

The Narniac's Creed

And leave the shadowlands behind.

I also have in mind several fics of different genres. I'm thinking of writing a fic on Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi based on the victory celebration at the end, but that's still in the planning stages. I might delve into LotR fanfics before too long as well. I might write a few for the "Bible" fanfics, but we'll see. Here's a few more of non-Narnian genres:

In Memory of Him: In Progress. Newsies fanfic. David "The Walking Mouth" Jacobs silently eulogizes his closest friend and greatest comrade Jack Kelly at Jack's grave.

The King of Glory: Completed. Bible fanfic on Psalm 24:7-10. Christ comes back to claim the kingdoms of the earth for His own.

The 40th Martyr: In Progress. Bible fanfic. The story of Agleos, the jailer of the 12th Legion of the Eastern Roman Empire, as he is ordered to execute 40 Christian soldiers who will not worship the Emperor. Based on a true story.

With Him In Paradise: In Progress. Bible fanfic. The story of Dysmas, the penitent criminal who was crucified with Jesus. Semi-based on a true story.

When Free Men Shall Stand: In Progress. In a future mid-21st century America, Christianity is slowly being outlawed. In a quick strike against Christians, Congress has criminalized all forms of evangelism and is preparing for more heavy restrictions. But the government's plans on stamping out Christianity are set back when teenager Jack Denly, backed up by his best friend John Hewitt, leads a massive armed rebellion in California. As tens of thousands of Christian men take up arms (literally) and the United States Marine Corps moves in, Jack lets the nation know in no uncertain terms that he is determined to win American Christians back their liberty - or die trying.
