What if Elizabeth Bennet was not really a Bennet? Suspend a bit of reality and read along. In this story Elizabeth is not born Elizabeth Bennet of Longbourn but rather Lysette Fitzwilliam of Glenwood. A crime committed fourteen years before resulted in her disappearance from the Fitzwilliam family and reappearance in the Bennet fami!y.

A compromise at the Netherfield Ball leaves Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet stuck with each other 'til death us do part'. This story is pretty high angst, with some interesting angles, an unusual style and unusual pairings (E&D of course, but otherwise all bets are off).

In this story the Bennets have better connections. A compromise early in the Earl of Matlock's life led to a large age gap between Col. Fitzwilliam and his elder brother, the Viscount. The Viscount is of an age with Mr. Bennet. The friendship between the two led to a higher ranked godfather for Elizabeth. It is light hearted with little angst.

Mr. Bennet is ill and Lydia's elopement causes his death. Collins evicts them from Longbourn and the Bennet ladies go to live with their relatives in Meryton and London. HEA for D & E.

Elizabeth is given Netherfield and leases it to Bingley. How will this affect Darcy's attraction to her when he comes to stay with Bingley?

What if Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet had meet previously without knowing it? in this story Darcy meets Lizzy three times in her life before the Meryton Assembly. Each time he wants her in his life but has a selfish disdain for the feelings of others. If he wants to win Lizzys hand and heart he will have to overcome this defect.

While Elizabeth gets a bit of excellent advice from her friend Charlotte Collins while staying at the Hunsford Parsonage, it is the fact that the encounter with Colonel Fitzwilliam occurs a day early that changes the dynamics of her stay at the Parsonage.

Elizabeth is slightly more perspicuous and thoughtful, and does not fall for Wickham's story, leading to an earlier resolution to a attachment to Darcy. Mrs. Gardiner also plays an expanded role.

Elizabeth is sent to London to enjoy the fall season and does not return to Longbourn until Christmas of 1811. (This is a relatively short story - about 25K words - and it focuses almost entirely on Darcy & Elizabeth.)

The Gardiners' trip to The Lakes is not postponed and Elizabeth never visits Pemberley.

What if Charles Bingley had an older, wiser and more determined older brother who visited Netherfield Park when Elizabeth was there nursing Jane?

Darcy does not encounter Elizabeth at Pemberley, Lydia is lost and the Bennet family's reputation is ruined.

Lady Catherine decides to make an unexpected visit to Pemberley in the summer of '12.

Darcy's horse casts a shoe while riding to Pemberley which causes him to miss encountering Elizabeth Bennet who is touring the estate. Thus he is unable to show her his change in behaviour, fails to learn of her improved opinion of him, fails to meet the Gardiners, and fails to learn what happens to Lydia. (Updates on hold for a week or two)

Fitzwilliam Darcy is devastated when he learns that his sister is with child by Wickham. What will he do to try to help her overcome this situation?

What would happen if at the end of the Netherfield ball Mrs Bennet collapsed and died? What would the shock do to the family? And how would it change things for Jane and Elizabeth?

Elizabeth does not visit Pemberley with the Gardiners, so the Bennets are disgraced with Lydia's elopement. Bingley marries Jane and gives up Netherfield to buy an estate in Yorkshire. They invite Elizabeth to live with them. Elizabeth meets a Baron who needs a wife. Eventual HEA for D & E.

I have wondered what might have gone different if Mr. Bennet was the landowner, the husband, and the father that he should have been. In this story strong advice from a valued mentor early in his marriage sets a new course for Thomas Bennet and impacts the entire Bennet family in a positive way.

Elizabeth Bennet, being more aware of her financial situation decides to give Mr. Collins due consideration in the Longbourn Proposal. This is an unusual work, with three stories in one. It's a one-shot, a short-story and a novel slightly larger than canon all in one. It mixes math, metaphors, and all sorts of craziness to come up with 3 HEAs. More than a bit off the beaten path.

An epidemic has hit Meryton. The story starts just after Elizabeth arrives at Netherfield to nurse her sister, who was taken ill during a visit with Caroline Bingley.

As suggested in the title of Jane Austen's original work, Darcy's greatest failing is pride. His passionate love for Elizabeth only mitigates this character flaw, resulting in the awful proposal at Hunsford. If happenstance forced Darcy to marry Elizabeth before he loved her, or even knew her at all, would he ever be able to get past his pride to recognise his fortune?

Jane and Lizzy must prepare to face an uncertain future. Shunned by Mrs. Bennet and largely ignored by Mr. Bennet, they face additional challenges when a young gentleman of fortune leases Netherfield Park. This is an AU story with major changes to some of the familiar characters and situations. As a result, ODC can be considered OOC in this rendering. Some angst and a little humor

In this story, Darcy and Elizabeth do not meet after they parted in Hunsford for four years. Many events happen in both of their lives and families during this time. HEA

What if...Mr Bennet had saved a dowry for his daughters. Colonel Fitzwilliam meets a pretty, vivacious genteel lady whilst visiting his aunt. Her dowry is enough for him. So he enters a courtship with Miss Elizabeth Bennet, much to Darcy's chargrin.

How do you answer a completely unanswerable proposal without losing your temper or saying anything offensive, unkind or rude? Elizabeth Bennet is about to find out in this novel that starts right after Mr. Darcy finishes speaking in the Hunsford proposal.

In this story, I imagine what might have happened if, upon Mr. Bennet's sudden death and their eviction from Longbourn, Elizabeth decided that she would rather become a paid companion rather than be dependent on her relatives. HEA

What would have happened if Elizabeth understood Mr. Darcy better before the proposal and was in fact fully expecting it. She was an intelligent woman, and without an excessive amount of prejudice, she could have worked it out. Let us see what happens when she FULLY understands the gentleman, in all his particulars, BEFORE the proposal.

Ever wonder how Mr. Darcy survived a decade of being targeted by every matchmaking mother in England? He had to participate in society, so how did he pull it off? Imagine he laboriously worked out a system to keep himself safe and followed it rigidly. (Short vignette, on the silly side)

What would happen if Elizabeth received a proper apology for Darcy's slight at the Meryton Assembly before the night was over? Let's find out in this little Vignette.

This story starts a month earlier than the original P&P, so about September 1, 1811. Georgiana accompanies Darcy and Bingley to Netherfield and soon meets Elizabeth Bennet, but Darcy does not. After much drama, they finally meet. HEA

This is not a variation of Pride and Prejudice; I consider it to be a side story as I imagine what might have happened when Charlotte met the Colonel when he visited Rosings with Darcy at Easter. Charlotte had come to realize that her marriage to Collins would not satisfy several of her needs so she looked elsewhere.

In this story, I imagine what would have happened if Elizabeth had helped Mr. Darcy when he fell off his horse and broke his leg the morning after the Netherfield ball. As Caroline Bingley was closing up the house, Darcy was taken to Longbourn to recuperate. As a reward for their help, he promised to host the whole Bennet family for a month in London during the season. HEA

What would happen if Mr. Bennet insisted that Elizabeth accept the offer of marriage from Mr. Collins, but she decided to run away instead, to be saved from two ruffians by Mr. Darcy. HEA

Fitzwilliam Darcy meets the most enchanting young lady not far from Pemberley, and takes quite a fancy to her right from their first acquaintance. Her beauty, manners, charm and intelligence captivate him immediately.

Elizabeth Bennet reacts to the Hunsford Proposal in an entirely unexpected way, with the help of several friends from Meryton.

What if Elizabeth Bennet COULD NOT dance with Mr. Darcy at the Meryton Assembly; for some reason other than the gentleman being distraught and cranky and stuck up and shy and stubborn and a bit of a jerk when you get right down to it. Let's find out.

A moving sermon leads to a random act of kindness that impacts the lives of the Darcys and changes the course of their story. What will be the final result for Elizabeth and Darcy?

This story is a companion piece to Giving Consequence. It follows the story from the viewpoint of Kitty and Lydia's governess. Many of the events related in Giving Consequence will retold from this point of view and the story will continue on beyond Darcy and Elizabeth's wedding.

It turns out that Mary Bennet does not care for being publicly humiliated by her father at the Netherfield Ball, and her reaction has far-reaching consequences. This story is moderately high angst, has a pretty bad beginning for the Bennets, and a long road to happiness., but it is several adventure stories in one along with the occasional bit of romance.

Elizabeth Bennet has an unexpected and extreme reaction to yet another insulting proposal in Hunsford. It's a nonstop madcap romp through Regency fandom. It started out mostly romantic but accidentally humorous and now has gone kind of over the top with romance, humor and outright farce.

Elizabeth Bennet cannot talk about books in a ballroom, but apparently, she can do arithmetic. A little light-hearted diversion at the Netherfield ball assisted by the stone-cold precision of mathematics (Short Story - Complete).
