Quirks can make or break you. They decide if you're been a hero, civilian, or a villain. By that logic, Izuku who was born quirkless in a world where 80% of the world has a quirk should have been less then nothing. But he refused to accept that fate. He wishes to prove that quirk or no, he can achieve greatness and become a splendid hero through hard work and dedication.

Quirks are grouped into categories, either being seen as useful and useless, heroic and villainous. To have one in either category can affect you in more ways then you imagine. But no-one ever talks about how a quirk alters your sense of mind.
