LETTER TO THE READER
My name - the one I use in the real world at the other side of the screen - is Judit. I am a 25-year-old aspiring writer from Catalonia, Spain, who just decided to have a big change in her life and leave University - maybe for a while, maybe for a long while - to move to London and have some new adventures.
I've been writing fanfictions longer than I've been part of this community. To me, they are a way to exercise my creativity and my language skills without using too much time creating characters and locations... When you're working and studying, you really don't have a lot of spare time to dedicate to 'serious' writing.
But FanFiction has become a lot more to me. It is not just a place where I can experiment with my story-telling, I can also keep alive my passion for Harry Potter in here, and I have also met wonderful people who share the same interests as me and who have fantastic points of view on writing.
Best wishes to all of you,
I obviously don't own any of the universes I set the stories shared on FanFiction - that is the main purpose of this website. I simply use - with my most sincere modesty - the characters and locations created by other people (mainly JK Rowling) to - as I said in my letter - exercise my creativity and language skills.
If anyone thinks this is wrong - unless they are the actual creator of such universes -, I'm afraid they are in the wrong site, but they must know we earn nothing of our work other than the satisfaction of being read and the nice comments of our readers.
As always, I like to apologise in advanced for any grammar, spelling or mistake of any kind that you might notice in my stories or here in my profile.
English is not my mother tongue - as you may have noticed - but I'm learning and improving every day. I will really appreciate constructive comments on said mistakes, specially if you notice I repeat them frequently but, please, keep rudeness to yourself.
I write in English for the following reasons:
--1. My fandoms are in English, so it would have no sense to do it otherwise,
--2. The larger community of the fandoms I follow is or speaks English, this way more people can enjoy my stories,
--3. It's the perfect excuse to improve my English, which, if you read one of my earlier stories and one of the latest, you'd see it works.
I'm actually moving to London in November and I'm going to be telling my adventure in a new blog I created called My London Tale. In fact, I already posted a few pieces of writing about me and my family just to get used again to what it's like to keep a blog alive.
