Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter, and Twilight.
I am known as ElabourateIllusion, previously Christelle Lillian Black.
One day I decided, 'let's review what I had written on my profile when I first joined this site at the age of eleven!'
I groaned. The ridiculous childishness seriously made me cringe. Therefore, I thought, 'no, can't have that sullying my reputation. Must change."
So, I'm a sixteen year old Chinese senior (or was at the time this was written). I enjoy English, History, and Philosophy and have a passionate hatred for Maths. I first picked up a Harry Potter book a long time ago when I was six, and it continues to influence my life even when the last book has long been published. I first stumbled upon fanfiction when I was obsessed with Draco Malfoy. I'm still rather obsessed with him, but I've also branched out into all the other hotties on the dark side. For some reason the light side people just rub me up the wrong way. May have something to do with Dumbledore manipulating Harry, Harry being angsty, Ron being gormless, etc. Not that they aren't great characters, I just like my lord Voldemort better.
The canon ending always disappointed me terribly. What, Voldemort and Harry yell at each other some, throw a curse, reflect, die, hurray? Isn't that just a little anti-climatic? Come on, where do you see all that love, the supposed power he knows not? I'm just not convinced. Hence (I know, I know, who says hence...) I inflict upon you all my fanfictions. I'm not terribly good, but I do have a few rules for myself:
1. Check spelling and grammar so that it doesn't jarr. There are still a few I miss, but not enough to make you mad.
2. Do not do crazily out of character things-what's the point of writing Voldemort if Voldemort is a short, balding muggle who loves kittens?
3. Refer to canon facts-it is a fanfiction after all. It sucks to read a story where Dumbledore suddenly fancies Hermione or Hogwarts is moved to California.
There are other ones, but they've only been in effect since I've developed Taste and stopped wanting to write terrible Mary Sues. Don't hold it against me, everybody goes through that stage, though I admire and envy everyone who got over it quicker than I did. As I said, I'm in senior year, and applying to study English Literature in the UK, so I have to start getting serious about my writing.
Ah, no more not updating for six months. No more wonderful supergirl heronines. It's going to be hard.
Now, I'm off to delete my terrible Mary Sues and start fresh. I'm leaving only The Road Not Taken, Reincarnation and Letter Through The Veil...because the rest sucks.
For now my friends, adieu. Feel free to contact me if you feel like it.
