Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jess and I am a 24 year-old recent college graduate. I entered the world of Transformers three years ago via my ex-husband. Long story. Anyways, my Transformers 101 education began with G1 and has been going strong ever since. I'm a solid Decepticon follower, dedicated Screamer-fangirl, and wouldn't hesitate to turn back into a fawning, high school teenager in front of TC or Warp. I can't help it that I have a thing for hot Seekers!
Now then, who am I as a person you may ask? Well, I'm an exceptionally headstrong, highly independent, sarcastic, energtic, anal-retentive, ADHD type of individual. I am also highly sporadic and I quite often dive into things head first without so much as a glance at consequences. It makes for an exciting life, but can be a real bummer when those consequence thingies catch up with you. Much to my detriment, I am also quite the hothead--must be the Scotch in me somewhere.
I also volunteered as a firefighter for my community for almost eight years. I've always been an action-oriented kind of person, so firefighting became first pick when it came down to community service projects back in high school. It has been a side profession that has stuck with me ever since then (and probably always will remain with me). I also really like helping people in need, and being there for them in their darkest hours.
I'm a military brat and proud of it! Momma served in the Navy as a Seabee as did Daddy, and I have an awesome Stepdad who served more than 20 years in the Army. In my family I'm a 7th generation soldier. I am now a certified UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter mechanic and I am convinced it is the best job in the world!
I am actively working on three fanfics: "Metallic Thoughts, Genetic Memeories", "The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend," and "Crosswinds". I've always been facinated with the idea of crossover fictions and how to write them so that they will be believable. The first two stories are my attempts to blend two similar yet very distinct comic arcs into a cohesive storyline. My third fic is much more canon-based and will play on G1 Starscream's Immortal Spark arc.
Hello again all my readers! You'll be pleased to see that I am back, if intermittently at best. I will do my best to update when possible; I'm still adjusting to my life in the military. Hope all is well with you and thanks for hanging tight!
//IN-PROGRESS// Metallic Thoughts, Genetic Memories (Post 2007 Movie): This story focuses on a young woman who not only runs crosswise of the Decepticons, but the "disbanded" Sector Seven agency as well. She quickly befriends our favorite blue Seeker, Thundercracker, and together they try to unravel the mystery surrounding her family and the infamous S7 agency. Why is Sector Seven still in operation? What do Starscream and the other Decepticons and Sector Seven want from her? To find out, start readin'! And don't let the first chapter throw ya. For the most part, this fic will be Decepticon-heavy with the Autobots playing supportive roles; this fic will be a crossover with...GI Joe! Dun da Duh! This fic is also a little more Sci-Fiin nature, but I could see it happening in the real world, given how little we know of mysterious alien energy. For a more canon-based story check out my second work-in-progress.
Cast of Main Characters
Thundercracker: Starscream's SIC; Thundercracker is a mech haunted by a troubled past. Those horrifying events millions of vorns ago changed his life forever, as well as his view on the War. He's a mech that is hated by many of the Autobots, and held in suspicion by his fellow Decepticons. He often questions his place among the other Cons as well as his place in the War. He stays mainly because of Skywarp, both of them having been through many a battle and, as a result, they have developed a solid friendship. Starscream named Thundercracker SIC partly due to his phenominal skills as a warrior, but mainly so he could keep an optic on this dubious soldier. Thundercracker shares a mind link with the human Dezba Collins. Through this link, he knows her every thought and can track her from almost any distance. For this navy blue Seeker, she has been both a blessing and a curse--a blessing because she has given him something worth fighting for again and a curse because her actions and personality continually remind him of a ghost from his past. He's a very brooding mech, and although not usually quick to anger, anything he views as a threat to Dezba, will feel a wrath and vengence of hellish, and in some cases, tortuous proportions.
Dezba Collins: Dezba is a young college age girl of Native American descent. Her father was killed in a training accident when she was young and her Native American mother remarried more for convenience than for love. Dezba's mother and her whole ancestry share what is known as a "genetic memory." This genetic memory has been passed down for generations up until it reached Dezba. As a result, S7 in conjunction with another organization have set out discover what kind of information is encoded in her mind. Fortunately for her, the Decepticons find her first and she develops an unprecedented link with one of the Cons, namely Thundercracker. She can see his every thought and feel every emotion. She views him as the only "friend" she has and he is the only Con she trusts explicitly, due in part to the bond. She and Thundercracker will play a pivotal role in the survival of the Cybertronian race. Dezbais a very willful person witha sarcastic wit. She is wary of all the other Cons, with the exception of Skywarp.
Starscream: Leader of the Decepticons. His deepest desire is to restore Cybertron to its former glory and become its leader. He's a very cautious tactician and always tries to see an issue from every angle; afterall, it's the hidden issues that often lead to failure. He sees the human race as a treacherous species and does not underestimate their ability. With the exception of Megatron, he is the only Decepticon that bore witness to Thundercracker's traumatizing past, and he uses that info accordingly to keep the blue Seeker in line. He views Dezba as a means to an end and tolerates her presence only because she has information that he needs. Although he despises the Autobots, Starscream is not above meeting with Prime when faced with a cunning, common enemy to both factions.
Skywarp: Thundercracker's wingmate and only Cybertronian friend. He's a young mech, energetic and often mischievious. Although not overly fond of Dezba, he watches out for her for TC's sake. He may not be very smart, but Skywarp has a knack for seeing things that are often overlooked by the others. He's an extremely capable warrior and a crackshot when it comes down to distance shooting.
S7: Also known as Sector Seven. This super-secret US government agency was disbanded by the President only to be secretly revived and re-controlled by the world's most feared terrorist organization, COBRA. They've discovered a secret about the Cybertronian race and will do anything necessary to attain it before the Cybertronians do. Problem is the "key" to unlocking this secret currently has a Decepticon bodyguard and it will only be a matter of time before they catch on to S7's schemes.
The Autobots: Optimus andhis small band of Autobots know there is something foul brewing in the S7 organization, thanks in part to an unexpected ally. They're trying their best to see what exactly this nefarious organization is up to and are also deeply puzzled as to why the Decepticons have suddenly grown interested in a human girl.
//COMPLETED// The Enemy of My Enemy is My Enemy (G1-characters, Present-day): This story began as a rabid plot bunny that was quickly fueled by my addiction to Ace Combat 6 (great game! try it sometime). This story focuses on Skywarp anda young pilot who are bothshot down over hostile territory. To get out of their situation alive, both need to set aside their differences and work together. Question is, is that even possible? To make matters worse, they discover that the tiny country they're trapped in has ambitions almost as grandiose as Megatron's. To see what kind of chaos the duo stir up (come on, it's Skywarp!) tune in below! Oh, and might I mention that Starscream may meet his match with the supreme ruler of Latveria--you know who I'm talking about! This idea is not new; the Cons have had a run-in with Latveria's supreme ruler before in "Transformers Meets the New Avengers". I borrowed the idea of Latveria and asked myself "What if there was someone out there more devious than Megs and possibly Starscream?" and this was the result!
Cast of Main Characters
Skywarp: Shot down over hostile territory, Skywarp mistakenly happens upon a US pilot who suffered the same humilation. At first he's reluctant to work with the "fleshbag" but soon discovers they share a lot in common. Finding it odd that both he and the human were shot down by the same, unknown enemy, he decides to work with the pilot to unravel the mystery as to why they were both shot down and to also dish out some good old-fashioned Decepticon revenge. After all, no one shoots down a Seeker without recieving a little retribution!
Lt. Don "Stinger" Kesinger: a USAF F-16 pilot called upon to aide Symkeria in ridding the tiny country of Decepticon activity. Unfortunately during the air battle, he's shot down while dogfighting with Skywarp and is now forced to try and make it out of hostile territory alive. Both he and Skywarp find the circumstances surrounding their situation odd and decide to investigate things. A Southerner at heart, Stinger takes no slag from anyone, including Decepticons, and can do more than hold his own when it comes to insults. Despite a rocky beginning, he and Skywarp soon develop a comradery that would make most people shake their heads in wonder.
Starscream and Thundercracker: Skywarp's trinemates, they soon become concerned after prolonged radio-silence by Skywarp. Deciding to investigate as to just what happened to their errant wingmate, they travel back to the Symkeria-Latveria region to search for Warp. Much to Starscream's chagrin, they eventually meet up with Stinger and join the pilot in his quest to stop Latveria from starting World War 3.
Dr. Doom: self-proclaimed leader of Latveria, Doom seeks to expand his rule to the rest of world. He has vigorously studied Cybertronian technology and has developed an army of drones to counter most Cybertronian weapons. He only needs one piece of vital technology to make his army unstoppable and unfortunately, Skywarp possesses it. He always seems to be one step ahead of his enemies and enjoys flaunting his intelligence to all who will take notice. One-on-one, he's a very powerful being, his intelligence being his number one weapon. Doom was severely injured in a lab accident and as a result, he constructed a adamantium suit capable of self-sustainment for long periods of time. He can also control electricity and possesses telepathic mind-control to a certain degree. Watch out Screamer! Let the Battle of the Evil Geeks begin!
//IN-PROGRESS// Crosswinds: Set after the events of Transformers: The Animated Movie, we'll meet up with a wandering soul who decides to take up residence back on Earth. Problem is not everyone is too thrilled with the idea of having a resident ghost haunt their air base, least of all Capt. Alexis "Spades" O'Conner. Since I have one story each focusing on Skywarp and Thundercracker, I decided to let Screamer have his turn in the lime light. This will take place after Starscream's death, but the events in which he meets Octane in "Starscream's Ghost" never occurred, so it will be slightly AU. Screamer will be based on his G1 self, but I plan to incorporate some Armada influences later down the road. This may or may not be a romance; Lord only knows, the Alexis/Starscream plotlines have been beaten to death. But as we all know, its not necessarily who is in the plot, but how well the plot is written.
Characters Thus Far:
Capt. Alexis "Spades" O'Conner: Alexis is a thirty-year-old F-15 driver for the US Air Force. She's very proficient at her job and loves the feeling of flight. Alexis is also the squadron's flight lead and mission leader making her a prime target for enemies, both foreign and domestic. Things really get tense for the young pilot, when she discovers her jet has a consciousness of its own and it's not too friendly.
SSGT. Darrell "Crow" Barr: Alexis's crew chief and close advisor. Although they are relatively the same age, Crowbar acts as Alexis's father figure in the Air Force. He goes to great lengths to ensure her safety and makes damn sure "Spades'" jet is the best running one in the squadron. He's the best at his job and a stickler for details.
1st. Lt. Clarissa "Tomcat" Tabor: Alexis' roomate and fellow squadronmate. She and Alexis were the only two females to graduate UPT in their class. After a few years of seperate duty assignments, they are re-stationed together at Caldwell Air Force Base. Clarissa is the polar opposite of her friend Alexis. Where Alexis is reserved and cautious, Clarissa is outgoing and rather impetuous. She has a temper that matches her red hair and is not someone on whose bad side you want to cross.
2nd. Lt. Jerry "Coldstone" Stoner: It is safe to say that Coldstone is considered the base's resident asshole. He's arrogant, cocky, rude, and not afraid to throw his skills and accomplishments in your face. So, it just comes natural that he and Alexis have a rivalry going right from the get-go. However, Coldstone is the first to recognize that there is something fishy about his captain's jet. One thing leads to another, and before the cocky pilot realizes it, he's wrapped up in a big problem whose ego and attitude is more than enough to rival his own.
2nd. Lt. Johnathan "Scorch" Martin: If Coldstone could classify anyone on base as a friend, Scorch would be the closest to fit that definition. He's the happy-go-lucky one of the squadron and tries to overlook his friend's abrasive manners to the best of his ability. He's not the best pilot, but he's not the worst and one of the most solid and grounded pilots in the squadron. Scorch is the man you want when you know you're getting ready to fly through hell and back. Where Coldstone will take the fight to the enemy, Scorch will be the one to watch your six at all times come hell or high water--a true wingman.
Starscream: Cursed to wander the galaxies forever trapped between life and death, Starscream finds himself returning to Earth. He struggles to adapt to his new existence and decides to "haunt" a local air base as much for his own amusement as well as a place of residence after stellar cycles of useless wandering. However, Starscream slowly begins to find himself becoming entangled in the lives of the pilots of whom he takes such joy in tormenting. It's not until some really old enemies out for blood, human blood, show up that Starscream realizes his curse, might just be a gift.
//IN-PROGRESS// The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend: The threat of Doomsday has passed and it looks as if things have finally gotten back to normal for both the trine and their unlikely human ally, now Lt Colonel Don "Stinger" Kesinger. So what's going to happen when a hormonal teenager shows up on now-married pilot's doorstep claiming to be his daughter? Can anyone say "Uh-oh!"? And things go from bad to catastrophic when Hornet's father disappears, leaving her to figure out the "whys" and "what-ifs." Can Maria "Hornet" Kline find her father's old friend, "Skywarp" and get his help before it's too late?
Characters Thus Far:
Lt. Colonel Don "Stinger" Kesinger: Now a Lt. Col., Stinger has adapted, albeit reluctantly, to his role as Wing Commander over the 213th Fighter Squadron. The injuries sustained from the "Latverian Fiasco" had prevented the scrappy pilot from reprising his former job as a fighter jock. Higher rank, larger responsibilities and his ever-dwindling lack of flight time is slowly driving this Airman into a rut few have ever gotten out of. But when a lawyer shows up claiming that Stinger has a daughter from a previous brew-ha-ha, Stinger's quiet desk job goes from 0 to hectic before you can say, "Mach 4". Throw in decreasing Decepticon resistance, one black and purple Seeker, and an ever increasing, nationwide energy crisis and a recipe for disaster is sure to blow this pressure cooker sky high.
Maria "Hornet" Kline/Kesinger: Maria is the morose, sullen teenage daughter of Stinger. Back in college, her mother and Stinger had a short fling which ended in him going one way and Maria's mother the other. The problem: Maria's mom never told Stinger that she was pregnant. Fifteen years later, Maria's mother was killed in a car accident, leaving her to her only living relative--Stinger. She resents her father greatly for not being in her life until now, believing he had abandoned her and her mother, despite her mother's protests.
More Character Bios to Come...
(Tentative) Rain on Me: Chronicles of the Rainmakers: We've all heard of Starscream's Trine and a good many of us note the notoriety of the Coneheads. But whatever became of the Rainmakers? This is the story of Cybertron's ultimate Special Forces team--how they began, where they came from, and where they went. But watch out! Rain is in the forecast and I hope you brought ponchos!! I've been bitten by another bunny and I'm considering writing a fic based on the Rainmakers. There's not a whole lot of info on this mysterious group of Seekers, but I might give it a shot.
