I have finally done it. I have completed and published my own story. "DEAREST" is a completed story, which I will publish one chapter per week until it's all posted. It is nine chapters and the chapter titles will be posted at the top of each Chapter, as well as I the pull down menu.
Don't forget to check out "Stability" by Tripperfunster. This incredibly touching work of art was my inspiration for this story. It filled me with so much emotion, I just wanted to write something equally as emotion. I'm sorry to say that I can't figure out how to post the link, so you're going to have to do a google search (on 'images') and it will come up. Thanx.
I am a mother of two boys. I absolutely love Harry Potter and I just can't get enough of it. In my impatience for the final book to come out, I stumbled across some fan fiction. It was like rainbow, it was such a great discovery. Somewhere along the line I discovered slash and I was hooked!
I like My Harry to be on the small size (but not Hobbit-small) because I feel that if he was underfed and neglected in his formative years (not to mention kept in a Small dark cupboard), he never would have reached his full size potential. Daniel R is 5'5" in real life, so perhaps that's about right. I like the image of him fitting snuggled up to his partner's shoulder, or under their chin. I like Bottom!Harry.
I like my Harry to be very powerful, but not god-like powerful, just powerful enough to shock people and to get the job done. I confess that I am jealous of any characters who have more power than Harry - except Albus D. I also like Harry best paired with Snape, Draco, Cedric or Lucius, and I like those characters to be tall and protective, even if it isn't necessary. I love Over-Protective/Big Brother Draco, if the story isn't Drarry, this especially fits nicely into any Harry/Lucius stories.
M-preg is okay if it's Harry because let's face it - Lucius or Severus pregnant is just wrong on so many levels! But, I think one child is enough, I certainly don't like more than twins at once - I simply find triplets etc, to be too much. If M-preg is very rare and a reflection of a Wizard's power that's an added bonus.
Lately I've also taken a strong liking to Twilight crossovers, with Harry/Edward. Mostly this is because of the fact that Robert P. plays them both in the movies, and I have always liked Harry/Cedric.
I have also recently found a liking for LOTR crossovers - I like the image of Harry/Legolas, simply because in my mind I think those two would look beautiful together. If Harry is a (young/powerful) wizard in Middle Earth that's the best.
I have been working on some fanfiction of my own, but nothing's complete yet and I refuse to publish anything until it's finished. I have been disappointed too many times by being pulled into a truly great story that ended up never getting finished. Where's the justice, I ask you? I'm thinking I may need a co-author to finish up my current works.
In the meantime, I wouldn't mind trying my hand at being a Bata. It would be great practice, I guess.
