After BOTFA, Thorin has a lot to make up for and will have to make great efforts if he is to convince Bilbo that he wants him to stay in Erebor, and repair the damage his words have done. However, Thorin proves himself to be a romantic Dwarf, so between adopting elves and reading about flowers, he will, of course, sweep Bilbo off his feet. How can a Hobbit resist?

He's got morals, though - and returning his thefts helps him never get caught, until he steals from a Dwarf who he later cannot find to return the item. A certain dwarven king has to go after him and try to comfort him. Making him forget about his fear with a romantic action. Thorin Oakenshield embodied the kingdom he was about to rule. His heart and love as lost and well hidden like the Arkenstone - the heart of Erebor. On a quest we went, to reclaim a kingdom and a gem among treasures - both of which I found in its king. And I, a simple hobbit, never thought that I would claim more than the treasure that was stated in the contract.

A lot has changed since the Battle of the Five Armies. Erebor is steadily on the way to being rebuilt. An alliance has become steady between the elves, humans, and dwarves. And Hobbits are coming to Erebor.

When a broken young Bilbo Baggins comes face-to-face with Traders, he doesn't expect to make eye contact with two curious looking dwarf brothers. And he certainly didn't expect to take both of them home. Dark pasts filled with death and kidnapping are uncovered and shared. Lives are mended and a family is made.
