Author has written 40 stories for Harry Potter, One Tree Hill, Glee, Gossip Girl, and Scooby Doo.
Small Note/Update on Stories:
Sept 2014: I guess you can pretty much ignore me when I say I'm going to start updating... I'm sick convincing myself! haha.. I'd like to make another attempt at finishing my current WIPs. Perhaps this time I'll make good on that attempt. It's hard to get back into FF is all. It's my desire to write again that is spurring me on here, so hopefully, I'll begin to read and review a bit more again. Thanks.
February 2014: Hi, guys. Anyone who happens to stumble onto my page - I'm sorrryyy. Such a long absence from FF, and with so many (too many, ugh) WIPs in progress, shame on me. I'm hoping to be a lot more regular in updates and involvement in general. Let's hope I can still write somewhat decently, wooo.. Shoot me a PM if you have any q's, bashings, or want a chat :)
May '12: I've abandoned Dansant following a particularly grueling year and will probably abandon Defining Black as well. If you want details on why, they are listed in the latest chapter of Dansant. I apologise sincerely to all those who followed and enjoyed it, but I simply couldn't continue writing it. It will also be quite some time before I write a chaptered Harry Potter fic again. Maybe in a couple of months? I'll attempt to roll out the one-shots now and again though. Thanks and apologies.
I've deleted Defining Black as the quality is not great, and it is simply a re-write of Matters of the Heart. I won't delete the former as I feel it's a testimony to how much my writing has developed over the years I've been on this site, though I do beg of you not to take it seriously! The plot is ridiculous and there are countless errors. Also, I haven't updated in a few weeks because of exams. Sorry about that!
"The Founders Heirs" has been translated into Spanish by the kind Moon Dahee. You can find it here: Los herederos de los fundadroes
A Few Rambling Words On Me.
You can call me Rae. I'm a little bit competitive, extremely indecisive, a procrastinator, sarcastic, and direct. I've an odd affinity with France and absolutely love everything about it - including their wonderful language, which I speak at intermediate level and will use any excuse to incorporate it into fics. I love writing and reading of course, and would have loved to study it in college, but picked another course because it had more options after college. I'm also extremely interested in politics and human rights, and I love hearing and learning about other parts of the world, so if you'd ever like to chat, drop me a PM.
Advice as an author: I am by no means a phenomenal writer, or even in the top 20 percent of this site, but one thing that some other writers often do when they first start writing here that really grates my nerves is the following: If you're writing a fic, summaries are key. Your summary is what grasps peoples attention, so unless you'd rather a lack of reviews please do the following: revise your grammar. God knows I'd never touch a story that can't even get grammar right in the summary! And secondly, never ever write 'summary sucks read inside' or 'bad at summaries, promise its a brilliant story'. Now come on. Anything is better than that. Also not a fan of the "What if?" summaries, where basically someone's whole summary is a series of questions...
So, that's all for now.
Feb 2014: Oh, my. What's that JK just said about Harry/Hermione? VINDICATION, MY FRIENDS, VINDICATION.
2011: Harry/Hermione: JK Quote: Just because someone had a view on Harry/Hermione didn’t mean they weren’t genuine, or that they were necessarily misguided...Now the fact is that Hermione shares moments with Harry that Ron will never be able to participate in. He walked out. She shared something very intense with Harry.
So I think it could have gone that way.
I am a steadfast Harry/Hermione shipper when it comes to the books - I have been since I read the first one. And, yes, obviously, I know it didn't happen in the end. I may also dabble in Dramione and enjoy reading it, but it doesn't mean I ever thought it was going to happen in the books. So don't flame and attempt to insult my intelligence by talking down to me - I'm aware Dramione, and Harry/Hermione, never happened and I never thought the former would in the books. I simply enjoy the challenge of drawing them together and the drama that would go with it, which is also the reason I read it. I won't go on anymore about these, but evidently I saw the books in a different light to others in regards to pairs.
I don't understand Harry/Ginny whatsoever. I mean, it was just convenient, wasn't it? I don't see the "soulmate" element that is supposedly there. I'm around their age, and if I went on about tripe like that I'd be called naive, innocent and foolish. Its teenage puppy love and lust, and I for one never got the impression of a long-lasting relationship. She suddenly became more featured in the sixth book out of nowhere and I found the whole thing a little unrealistic. And You simply can't say that H/Hr is cliche when there's Harry/Ginny. There's no end to their cliche's. Rich Boy/Poor Girl, Friend/Friends sister, Hero/Beautiful girl. They go on.. Fair enough, some love the fairytale element to it. But throughout the books, Ginny is a fangirl.
Ginny also became a major Mary-Sue in book sixth. All the boys love her, she's ultra popular, she's so gorgeous even prejudiced and stuck-up purebloods admit it, she's brilliant at Quidditch, an extraordinary witch that Slughorn finds so talented, everyone should be afraid, she's also oh-so-funny. Now, tell me what part of that isn't a Mary-Sue?
JK should've shown that sometimes, just sometimes, the hero doesn't go for the pretty, perfect girl.
Don't particularly dislike Ron/Hermione, I just prefer Harry/Hermione.
I dabble in plenty of ships, and most ships I do like. If you'd like to see me write something, go ahead and let me know!
