Author has written 3 stories for Naruto.
About Me: Well... where the hell do I start? I'm honestly not that interesting. I lead a rather comfortable life as a college student attending Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Pretty decent school wrapped up in a pretty crappy town; the dichotomy keeps life simple while at the same time providing a much needed "slap" of reality to some of the more challenged students. Other than that I participate in all the usuall stuff: video games, college parties, music, television, etc., etc.
As for writing, well I suppose I've always been interested in it. First it was just a way to pass the time, but it eventually developed into something that I've come to find relaxing and immensely enjoyable. It'd make a damn fine career, in my opinion. But I suppose that's for the future. For now, the focus is on my Naruto story "For the Greater Good." Right now I'm doing what I can to turn that story into something that isn't complete garbage, and I think I'm doing a pretty decent job at it so far. In all honesty the story was pretty easy to plan out; all I really have to is avoid the phrases "precious people," "Naruto's mask," and "Sas-gay." I find the first two easy enough because any thesaurus will provide a person with the terms "loved ones" and "façade." As for the third, I make it a point not to character bash. Nothing ruins a good story faster than character bashing. And even if I did bash, I wouldn't bash Sasuke. The Sharingan is made of awesome and the "bastard" character archetype is a necessary component to any good story. If I was ever going to bash someone it'd be Rock Lee; that guy just pisses me off to the point where kicking puppies seems appropriate. Which, in its own way, is rather ironic because if Lee was in fact a real person and not just some lines drawn on paper... well, he'd probably beat me pretty severely. Anyway, hypothetical ass-beatings aside, I hope you take the time to read the story; and always feel free to drop me a line. I appreciate any and all feedback I recieve.
And yes, I partially developed the concept for "For the Greater Good" while shopping online for contacts. Life's funny that way.
On "The Hand That Feeds": Hmmm... this story's pretty damn fucked up, now that I think of it. I started it because I love Oblivion and pudgypudge's challenge was a great idea that I felt I culd develop properly and turn it into something unique. I wanted to really push the envelope with this one, so to speak. It's a really fun story to write in between chapters of "For the Greater Good" and I have a bit more freedom to shape things as I see fit in this one. Also, I get to pump it full of black humor, innuendo, and merciless violence. This one might very well be something special, who knows. But what sets this story appart is its influences. Music is always important to me when writing, and I set the tone for this story with a hefty heaping of Pink Floyd and Nine Inch Nails. In case you haven't figured it out, "The Hand That Feeds" is a NIN song. But there is one other, very important, factor that goes into crafting this story's chapters... I take what I know about Oblivion and Naruto, all the characters, their mannerisms, thought proccesses, and interactions... I take the essence of the characters I have to write and look at them through an imaginary "lens" in my mind. And that "lens" is "A Clockwork Orange." I take aspects and themes from that movie and feed them into the beast that is "the plot" and it shits out "The Hand That Feeds." And that's how I write the story!
It's fucked up, I know. But whatever works, works my friends. Thanks for stopping by,
