I try to write whenever I get a few extra minutes here and there. I'm currently employed. I am an engineer.

How I get the idea for a story:

I work with ideas. I write ideas more than the story. Unless I'm writing purely for the beauty of the written word. Or I am in a creative trance and words just flow out of me. Or I write the mood.

Ideas for fanfics come to me in the form of either dialogues or visual scenes, and I build my way around that. Often, more than characters, it is the personality traits that come to me. And, often, what I write here is just the tip of the iceberg. Most of it is in my head. All hail the head !

Its hard work for me to write anything beyond one-shots so far, though...lack of time and all. I'll work on that.

I'M CRAZY ABOUT REVIEWS. Everyone is crazy about appreciations. And we don't get enough of it at work. So, give a woman a little love.

I would also love to get some ideas on how to proceed with a story. So again, reviewers are most welcome.

"Ideas belong to whoever expresses them the best." I don't know which dude said these words, but he sure is a wise dude.

Mine is, mostly, a dialogue centric writing. Probably, because human interactions fascinate me. Nope, it's the mind that fascinates me. Psychology is one of my favourite topics.

I hate romance fiction, coz, of poor writing, emphasis on relationships rather than individuality, insignificant female characters, male dominance and totally lustful, macho, superficial, love scenes. Maybe I should write an article on that.

Though I hate romance so much, a lot of my fanfics tend to focus on couples and their interactions, coz, it's easy to write. (I guess I just realised why there are a lot of cheesy romance fiction around, Hypocrite, much?). Human interactions. Two people playing off of each other, etc. That's easy.

No worries, I'm working on expanding.

A Little...Complaint Against Twilight:

I hate twilight, coz, it's ridiculous that a girl's life is totally centred around her boyfriend. And a glittery boyfriend, at that. Get a life, Bella. Committing suicide, by exposing a well-built body? Pleasssse...Werewolves, (sorry, shape-shifters) who are always shirtless? Imprinting on a baby? I mean, come on !!!

I really did like Jacob, only because, he at least was flawed and interesting, and only till the imprinting part. The whole thing sounds like a means of wish fulfillment for 13 year olds (No offense to 13 year olds).

Why fanfiction:

I respect canon, so, I mostly write to just fill gaps...although, I do get a lotta ideas involving deviations from canon. Alternate realities. Wish for things to have gone differently. Etc.

I read. I love Harry Potter, A Song of ice and fire, Agatha Christie's, Michael Crichton's, Dan Brown, etc, etc and of course, the Bible (the book that reads me). Harry Potter is the one fandom that I'm very thorough in.

Religion:

Speaking of which, i am a practising Christian.

I'm not the conservative kind, and I don't have a narrow view of Christianity that insists on proper "dress codes" for women, "proper behaviour" for men and women in public, and I don't support any other restrictions that exist. True Christianity, according to me, is not just about going to church on Sundays, reading the Bible or having a fellowship with others, it's about a total faith in God, which gives meaning to everything else you do. True Christianity is timeless, ageless and endless. Freedom and Modernity are part and parcel of it. I believe in a "contemporary" kind of Christianity.

I believe in God. So i believe in creation. I'm also, a woman of science (an engineer, to be exact). Therefore, I believe in Evolution, as well. And since my God is An Awesome God, nothing is impossible for Him. Perhaps, whatever is evolution from our point of view is creation from His.

I don't believe in superstitions, and I don't have any. Or so I think.

I'm open minded. Enough.

I have no fears. Except of spiders. All insects, actually, now that I think of it.

I am an avid tv viewer, movie watcher and book reader. A fan of creative media, basically. And since, I am a quick-learner, I get to do it all and also get top grades in class. When I was studying, that is.

Nature:

I am pretty tomboyish...I read comic books, play video games and used to play rough with boys. But I am hopeless at dressing up. I dress for comfort, not style... I am STRAIGHT.

I support all rights.

I am very hard on myself, since I tend to be a perfectionist. I always want a 100% result.

I love reading, drawing, writing, cycling, swimming, badminton, throwball, (wishlist - football, basketball, fencing, karate, kalaripayattu), horse riding, etc, etc.

As you can see, I am also quite obsessive and compulsive. I need things to make sense.

I love the British accent...I find it sexy. Australian is a close second. I am, of course, generalising.

I have moments when I am pretty serious. Well, I'm serious most of the time. Quite short-tempered, too. However, I like to think that I have a great sense of humour, as well.

The trees swayed from side to side. The dry leaves on the ground rose up, as if in greeting, and, Grindelwald, himself, appeared.

NOTE - 29th May 2019: My latest story falls in the category of Misc/Misc. books so it's difficult to get it seen. For those of you who have read and liked my stories so far, or would like to read them - would you give it a try? It's "The Mauryans". I know it's a lot of Greek and Indian history & mythology, but I would love it if you could at least give the writing a chance and comment on it maybe. Thanks for the reviews in advance! :)
