Author has written 8 stories for Tenchi Muyo, NCIS, and Mentalist.
Hello! I'm 18 years old and obsess over things very easily. I have trouble finishing stories but I do my best! I'm going to try and get *something* done this summer, particularly a Mentalist fic, seeing as that's my most recent obsession. I find the show to be different from a lot of procedurals on TV in a lot of ways. I think it's partly because (spoiler alert) Jane and Lisbon haven't gotten together, and maybe never will. That would be refreshing. Then again, I can't decide whether or not I'd want them to... My biggest hope for the show is that it stays "realistic" so to speak, that it doesn't become totally unfeasible (ahem House), and that when it does end, it's momentous enough to satisfy the greatness of all the characters and the build up of the show while still staying true to the themes/characters/etc. One of the best things about The Mentalist is how much depth the characters have, and how unique they are compared to other characters on television. That is what really drew me in in the first place. For example, just a small thing to start with, Lisbon is Catholic; there are hardly any characters of faith in procedural shows. Patrick Jane doesn't wield a gun, which is more true to his character than some might have made him. I also think the fact that this show was the vision of one man, rather than the money maker of a machine, gives the show a little more depth, finesse, and direction.
I hope you enjoy my mostly unfinished stories! All hail Bruno Heller! Also Joss Whedon, just because he's a genius.
