Author has written 1 story for X-Men.
What happens when two longtime fans of Kitty Pryde from different corners of the United States get together and decide that waiting for Marvel to get around to bringing her back just wasn’t good enough?
Well… this, for one thing.
Sue Penkivech, who is damn lucky all the other Sue Penkivechs on ff.net didn’t take that pen name first, is the “ears” of our duo. A consummate Bobby Drake and Illyana Rasputin fan, her many notable fic include the Just Kids series, Making Good, and her contributions to the Xavier Institute Chronicles. She has also officially joined the world of published authors with her short story, ‘Saying Goodbye,’ found in the Sci-fi anthology Barren Worlds, published by Hadley Rille Books.
Oldprydefan is a longtime reader of comics in general and X-Men in particular. She was introduced to fanfiction a while back, and forum-based RP a short time later, and the rest is history. She is the “eyes” of our group, and writes with such swiftness and flair that we strongly suspect that if you cut her she will bleed words. She is the author of Paper Flowers, an epic tale that explores the connection between Kitty Pryde, Illyana Rasputin and Rachel Summers and three of the most powerful forces of the X-Men mythos.
The Rescue Kitty Squad of Deliverance, our first collaborative project, consists of the following motley crew of heroes:
Pete Wisdom – Generates intense thermals he calls “Hot Knives” for a variety of effects. The Spy.
Emma Frost – One of the world’s premiere telepaths, with a secondary mutation that allows her to assume a nearly indestructible diamond form. The Queen.
Bobby Drake – Iceman – Cold-based, total control of water on a molecular level. The Joker.
Ali Blaire – Dazzler – Absorbs sound and releases it as light, which she is able to control in a variety of ways. The Star.
Illyana Rasputin – Magik – Teleportation, magic spells and domination of the realm of Limbo. The Demon.
John the Skrull – Able to shapeshift to disguise himself or perform various feats such as flight. The Beatle.
