Author has written 7 stories for Mediator.
Greetings, Welcome, Aloha, Ciao...well you get the gist,
Here's the part where I say something along the lines of I'm superb, awesome and all but then that would be too Paul Slater like. If your familiar with my work, you would know that I absolutely love, love, love Meg Cabot's Mediator series. Ofcourse, you Mediator fans would gather that I'm a devoted Jesse fan and all but well I can't help but appreciate the blue eyed, brown haired hottie in the series. Hey, hot is hot and Paulie baby knows it too.
And here's the part where you're going. HOLY SHIT! This chick is obsessed with a series about ghosts and mediators/mediums/shifters. And to that my friends, I say indeed I am, indeed I am.
Ofcourse, I do also branch out and read other books. But somehow despite my 22 years, I still find myself stuck in the teenage section of bookstores. Perhaps I'm attempting to live my younger days or something.
Regardless, besides the lovely Meg Cabot whose books in general are fairly entertaining, if not always great (except ofcourse for the Mediator series and the Queen of Babble series is pretty darn awesome too), there are many other authors out there who write one amazing story/series after the other.
Christopher Pike is one of the best and is definitely one of the most intellectual author out there. His books were a recent discovery and while I never have been particularly drawn to sci-fi - although I'm definitely not averse to it (if your into sci-fi, Scott Westerfeld's books are another recommendation as well as Rachel Caine who does a wonderful mix of action and sci-fi mixed in with the supernatural - but then sci-fi and supernatural are genres that often intertwine).
Point being that Mr. Pike The Last Vampire series is beautifully written, artful and how can you not love the reality of Sita/Alisa whose life is written with such historical accuracy and is just so amazing believable - or well, could be if you allow yourself to be taken into Pike's world - which ain't a hardship at all. And I love the philosophy and religious questions, etc. it asks - after all, we, well atleast I do, sometimes ask similar questions. It's educational, entertaining and is now complete (although the first one began in 1994). He's definitely on the best selling list and has won awards (which he utterly deserves) and finally, there will be a vamp movie so different from the current norm...no offense to Twilight lovers
In terms of the supernatural, there are many many creative and spellbinding authors: Richelle Mead, Melissa de la Cruz, Lauren Kate, Becca Fitzpatrick, Beth Fantaskey, Gena Showalter, Bree Despain and Rachel Vincent are among my favourites.
But to be truthful, you don't even need to go to the book store to find fabulous plots and entertaining fiction. My recommendation is to go into the Mediator section of fanfiction and check out these legendary (and I do mean legendary) authors: Lollasaurus Rex, The Cee Factor, The General G of K and The Dark Shark.
There are also other absolutely remarkable authors:
Bunnylass: Jax is an absolute sweetheart. Having gotten to know her over PMs, reviews and chats on facebook, I can certainly attest to this. She writes beautifully and so eloquently yet she can do the little random chatty blubber that is so Susannah Simon and her Jesses' - OMG. Don't get me started on that coz I just won't stop. She does more justice to him that Meg Cabot herself so much so that I find myself drooling...which ofcourse does not look good on a 22 year old girl...Her fics just keep getting better and better and HOTTER and HOTTER by the day
Esmerelda01-is-Esme-Brett: Esme/Mariah is just one awesome chicka. I don't know about most other authors or want-to-be authors like myself but humour is just bloody hard to write yet Esme is able to do it with such conviction that you have to keep yourself from falling of your chair and holding your tummy because well, you're laughing that hard. And ofcourse she mixes that in with hot bad boys, psychos and cool quirkiness which I absolutely adore. Her fics are definitely a MUST read and hey she's in the midst of writing her own novel which will certainly be on my bookshelf soon enough.
Anyways I'll leave you guys in peace. Check out my fics if you would like. I would love to hear your opinion, compliment or otherwise. I'm also in the midst of writing my own novel - it's all about the dark side...which is exciting...for myself anyway.
Tata for now...and speak to you soon. The key is to PM me or maybe leave a review or two (hint, hint, nudge, nudge)...
