My Faith: Jesus
Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master.
He had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.
He had no medicine, yet they called Him Healer.
He had no army, yet kings feared Him.
He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.
He was buried in a tomb, yet He still lives today.
Feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us.
If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ,
Copy and paste this into your profile.
If you ignore him: In the Bible, Jesus says,
"If you deny me before man, I will deny you before my father in Heaven."

I was walking around in a Target store when I saw a cashier hand this little boy some money back. The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old.
The cashier said, "I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll."
Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him and asked, ''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?''
The old lady replied, ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.''
Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly, leaving the little boy still holding the doll in his hand.
Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.
"It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas. She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her."
I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.
But he replied to me sadly, "No, Santa Claus can't bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there." His eyes were so sad while saying this, but he continued, "My sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.''
My heart nearly stopped.
The little boy looked up at me and said, "I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall."
Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me, "I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won't forget me. I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but Daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister." Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.
I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy, "Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?''
"Okay," he said. "I hope I do have enough." I added some of my money to his without him seeing, and then we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
The little boy closed his eyes and said, "Thank you, God, for giving me enough money!"
Then he looked at me and added, "I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that Mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me!I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. My mommy loves white roses."
A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket. I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind. That was when I remembered a local newspaper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl.
The little girl had died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would probably not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy?
Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young woman had passed away.
I couldn't stop myself; I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.
I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed forever. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.
Now you have two choices:
1) Repost this message.
2) Ignore it as if it never touched your heart.

Hundreds of Years into the Future
Science has improved remarkably. Flying cars as everyday transportation, people living on the moon and other places off the earth, and so much more. Scientists have even found a way to communicate scientifically with God and hear His response audibly. He knows they work so hard with science to try and surpass Him, but He lets them continue with their latest project anyways, knowing the result already.
Finally, they complete it! The scientists step into the teleportation portal and step back out in front of God.
"God, we have found a way to create life!" they declare. "We're just as good as You now!"
"Oh, really?" God asks, humoring them for the time being. "Show me."
So, smugly, the scientists began to gather up some dirt...
...Only to be interrupted by God: "Woah, hold on! Get your own dirt!"

OBITUARY FOR THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get Parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion, or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

OC Profiles

Dainileai Elbuort

Species: Neopet, green mynci

Hair: Originally black, now bubble-gum pink.

Eyes: Brown

Likes: Eating, cooking, painting, cartwheels, her friends and family, swordfighting, kung fu, acrobatics, swimming, the Lost Desert, climbing trees, and adventuring.

Dislikes: Bullies, jerks, zombies, werelupes, cannibals, spyders, small spaces, AAA (see "jerks"), sitting still, and archery.

Backstory: Though she was orphaned at age two and lived with the Desert Scarabs until she was eight, Dainileai has always had a sunny disposition and a tendency to be overly hyper and "daydreamy", as Jaylie first described it. One day she attempted to steal the backpack of a ten-year-old human new to Neopia, and through a mad chain of events wound up travelling with the girl to Neopia Central to find the girl's sister. Unfortunately, they were waylaid by yet another mad chain of events, this one involving abduction by pirates and a treasure hunt. By the end of it Dainileai and the girl, Jaylie, as well as two other neopets named Rex and Wingreski, had become quite close. Jaylie adopted them, and the Elbuort family was officially formed. Since then Dainileai has lived with the other Elbuorts (the family has grown considerably since that fateful day), first in Neopia Central, then in Meridell. Like the rest of her family, she has a tendency to wind up on random adventures. When she's not, she loves to paint (she's a talented artist), play with her younger siblings, cook, and eat...especially the last one. Since she's constantly honing her acrobatic skills, though, calories no longer apply to her. Her best friend is a fellow former Desert Scarab, a blue mynci named Caspian, her pride and joy is her petpet Minnie, and her favorite family member is June, because June acts like the mother she never had. Her second favorite is Babbles, probably because he's just as hyper as she is.

June Elbuort

Species: Neopet, yellow xweetok

Hair: Just her golden mane.

Eyes: Brown

Likes: Helping people, collecting stamps, collecting garden gnomes, her friends and family, any type of chocolate, Jeran, kung fu, running, swimming, making stained glass windows, and her homeland of Meridell.

Dislikes: AAA, any mention of Lord Kass, someone sassing her, someone not doing what they're supposed to when they're supposed to do it, Wingreski's pranks, letting others see her weakness, large crowds, and fire.

Backstory: June was orphaned at the age of ten, when she lost both parents during the second war with Darigan Citadel. For two years she lived with her poor aunt and uncle, who loved her but could scarcely afford to feed her, and when she contracted Neomonia they abandoned her at the Pound. She was in there for almost two months before Jaylie and Dainileai, hoping to adopt a fourth Elbuort, came into the Pound and saw her and adopted her, even though they couldn't afford a cure at that moment. Within a week the family had raised enough money to buy the cure, and after she was healed June decided to stay with them. She is one of the five "original" Elbuorts, though she came a month after the others, because she is the fourth neopet on Jaylie's first account. June is the "mother" of the family, because she's the eldest and also because she looks after everyone else. She's the most practical one of the family, but is also a hopeless romantic; in fact, she has written many a romance in her spare time, and she loves fantasy. She works at Brightvale Glaziers, and brings some of her stained glass windows home with her. June's family can drive her mad at times- especially Wingreski, Babbles, and Gus- but she loves all of them more than life itself. She prefers staying at home over going off on the crazy adventures her siblings seem to crave, but does enjoy traveling. She has an adopted daughter, a Baby xweetok named Mothwings Elbuort.

Rex Elbuort

Species: Neopet, green techo

Hair: None

Eyes: Brown

Likes: collecting bottled sand, potions, inventing, math, reading, friends and family, his neighbor Koph, swimming, and astrology.

Dislikes: AAA, Garin, anyone referring to the time he was painted Faerie, the Pants Devil, cabbage, socializing, and bullies.

Backstory: Rex grew up on Mystery Island. When he was seven he was rescued from some bullies by a mischievous mynci named Wingreski, and the two wound up becoming close friends, despite their different personalities. When he was eight his parents died, and he proceeded to go through three different owners until he finally escaped the Pound with Wingreski. For a couple of days they lived with a "crazy old hobo" korbat named Grandpa Tobi, and Rex worked for Kauvara. Then Wingreski received a mysterious note and started to act strange. Suspicious, Rex followed Wingreski when he went to meet Dainileai and Jaylie at the Money Tree, and all four wound up kidnapped. Rex played a big part in deciphering the map and leading the others to the treasure. When the adventure was over, he and the others formed the Elbuort family. Since then he's lived with his now very large family, going along on some of their adventures. Occasionally he has an adventure by himself, but generally he's happy to be part of a group or just a spectator. He now works in Kayla's potion shop as an assistant. Once a pacifist, he is now a very skilled fighter, and will not hesitate to use physical action to defend himself or someone else. He is the third eldest Elbuort.
