![]() Author has written 13 stories for Harry Potter, and Temeraire. Hello everybody who has decided my stories are worth reading. I guess I should start out with how much I love writing. It's the one thing that I could never give up doing no matter what. That is the main reason I finally decided to get an account here, I think I would rather die than not write. I've finished university now. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English. Go me! I apologize if some of these stories are poorly written. My earlier ones are kind of... bad. But oh well, it was a learning process. Oh yes, also, I am Genderfluid. I know a lot of readers don't care one way or another who is queer and who is not, but this could be important to someone else's gender identity. Genderfluidity is a case where a person changes genders at random so that some days they are male and others they are female. So, half the time, technically, this person is transgender, but the other half, they aren't. It can become very confusing and complicated. Not to mention that most people do not know that this is even possible. The problem is that some people could be Genderfluid and not know it, and therefore be confused about their own gender identity. Example: One day they could think they are transgender, but the next day think they are not. I'm just trying to get the word out there, because not very many people know about it. It could be a help to someone else, so I'll just leave it at that. I'm proud to be queer, and I do not tolerate homophobia or anti-queer outbursts online. Oh yes, I just realized that I have a grand total of ten stories now, so congrats to me I suppose... yay for brief summaries which are hopefully better than the short ones I gave them when I posted them. Randomosity and Cheesecake: obviously something very stupid that I started while I was tired and hyper. It is a fic written to portray the Harry Potter characters in an idiotic situation in Canada, which is where I live. It also makes fun of Canada, and if you went by my description it is obvious I would make a poor tourism agent. Drowning in Darkness: I just randomly wrote the first bit while listening to Disturbia by Rihanna. Then it continued to be slightly dark and angsty and it wandered in no particular direction whatsoever. A rather disorganized fic and had the potential to be better. Never Change: A next gen fic written for anyone who has ever felt that their family didn't understand them and is meant to be encouraging. It is meant to convey that no matter what family you were born into, your true friends will always accept exactly who and what you are no matter what. Dear Jamie: a song-fic based on a song by Hellogoodbye. It's slash, so anyone who doesn't like that sort of thing should not read it. I really like this band and was thinking of writing more songfics to songs by them. Considering Baby, it's Fact and Oh, it is Love. A Malfoy's Dignity: a story about poor Draco being lonely because he has no real friends and is therefore relying on his owl for companionship. Gryffindor Boy: a family fic about Draco and his son Scorpius. It is basically portraying how different Scorpius is from Draco. I thought it was funny because I kept putting Scorpius in rather perilous situations and making Draco panic. A panicking Draco is very funny... Flight of Athena: A Temeraire fic about a young woman during World War II who must fight for England along with her Longwing Athena. I started it enthusiastically and then realized that it would not only span 4 years of war but that I would actually have to put alot of thought and gasp research into it. It will progress slowly. The Misadventures of Scorpius Malfoy: the continuing adventures of Scorpius Malfoy after he is Sorted into Gryffindor (in Gryffindor Boy) along with Albus, Rose and occasionally Lily and James. It is very silly, and they are ALWAYS in trouble. Secret: a song-fic based on the song 'Do you want to know a Secret' by the Beatles. I became obsessed with the Beatles version of Rockband and this is what came of it. The pairing is Harry/Draco, so if you don't like homosexual romance, then don't read it! How to Fall out of Love: a story written in list-format that details how Draco Malfoy first fell in love with Harry Potter and then became determined to fall back out of love. See how well it works... I've been told it's a good fic despite it being written as a list, so I feel quite proud of it. Most of my fics are meant to be funny, at least a bit. I can't help it, really. Whenever I suck out all the humour, it always ends up being very serious and depressing... sigh Well, that is all until I figure out what else there is to talk about that won't bore you to death. testosterone-tea PS. If anyone feels like sending me requests because they think something would be amusing to read, go right ahead. Also! If you're interested in LGBTQ original fiction, there's an online publisher that publishes only same-sex pairing stories. I would highly recommend it. Less Than Three Press! The way to your heart Also: I'm now a published author of lgbt romance on this site. This is me -- Alex Powell |
