Author has written 14 stories for NCIS. General Disclaimer I do not own any of the NCIS characters -only the original ones - and am very certainly not making any profit from these stories. Fics that I have written to date: Reflections - 25/7/10. I decided after much consideration to take this story down. The next was another one-shot called Day is Done of which I am rather proud, as it deals with a friendship founded in one of my favourite episodes...Call of Silence. I loved watching the interaction between certain characters in that episode and decided to explore that idea further. Navy Exchange is my first attempt at a longer crime fiction. In an attempt to make it feel like an actual episode, I packed as much drama, intrigue and humour in as I could with a liberal dose of romance along the way. I tried to approach the pairing in an adult, true to character sort of way and hope that I was successful. There are no babies and weepy vows of eternal love. There is a tiny bit of bad language and 1 relatively mild sex scene, more alluded to than described so if that's not your thing then maybe you should give this one a miss. Tall Trees and Sea Monkeys. is a 3 chapter fiction of traumatic events that took place in the life of a very young Tony DiNozzo. I've used some small snippets of information from the show and added a whole lot of make believe! Lots of Angst in this one as I try to show how Tony's relationship with his father may have faltered. I also introduced a mentor of sorts for him because the mother in me, just couldn't stand him being lonely. In Inner Turmoil, I take a small scene from the S3 episode Bait and explore Tony's reaction to the predicament in which he finds himself and the emotions that may have motivated his decision. Again, there is a lot of supposition on my part in regard to Tony's past. Fishing in Baltimore Harbour is set pre-NCIS and focuses on Detective Tony DiNozzo chasing and 'catching' a suspect in a rather familiar fashion. This one is ACTION, ACTION, ACTION! I am currently working on extending this into a multi chapter crime fic showing my version of Tony meeting Gibbs. It's pretty slow going as my rather fickle muse comes and goes at will. First Times and Significant Moments is a short study of the defining moments in Tony's life and career. Somewhat angsty I'm afraid but that seems to be my thing lately... The Price is a short tag for S5 Internal Affairs. Gibbs provides his usual succinct support for an upset Tony after that heart breaking scene by the elevator. The Unexpected Confidant is a one-shot that deals with some of the challenges that Tony had to face after Gibbs' abrupt departure to Mexico and explores the birth of an unlikely friendship. Written for Blacklung. Perfidy focuses on some of those accusations that were fired at Tony throughout the latter part of S6 and he answers them. Mentally at least. Wish he'd have done so more on the show. Bouncing Back is an episode tag for Bounce in which I explore the possible reason for Tony's uncharacteristic and wildly swinging emotions. I don't buy that this was simply because he felt guilt at Rennie's wrongful conviction and so, I came up with an explanation. Hope you like it! A Twisted Gut, is a Gibbs introspective where his actions and decisions during the whole 'mole hunt' come back to haunt him. It's my first attempt at getting inside this character's head so I hope I've done him justice. Hope you enjoy! Learning to Live Again is a short fic that looks at Tony's torment and an unexpected side effect of his lost love. Set post S6 Knockout. A DiNozzo Family Tradition is a rather angsty look at how we carry on the lessons of our youth and uphold traditions whether they be happy or sad. Prompted by the episode Silent Night, I follow Tony as he grows up and show that celebrating Christmas Eve was not the only tradition instilled in our favourite senior field agent. Collaboration The Insider. I had the privilege to co-write a multi chapter crime/action fic with my favourite author Laine3112. This one's set pre-Season 1 when there was just Tony and Gibbs. Fornell makes a guest appearance. Lots of action in this one! While you're there, I recommend that you read Laine's other stories which are the absolute best you'll read as each could easily be a real episode. Stories of the calibre that Laine writes, require enormous dedication, months of planning and hours spent researching the tiniest detail to ensure that the story is not only thrilling and entertaining, but highly credible. I know no other NCIS writer who has the ability to actually 'become' the character that she's writing, to 'speak in their voice' as accurately. At times I feel she knows these characters far better than the NCIS writers and producers. Thank you for reading my stories, I hope you enjoy them! Lyn |
