Hey, I am Zuke.
What I Like to Read
I love characters with quirks. I love reading those stories that pose a different approach to the same thing. I also love reading those stories with an original idea (not the cooky stuff though). That's probably why I like, "Akane, the Suicidal" by WFROSE so much. It has both originality and a very interesting personality quirk. "The Devil and Jimmy Neutron," and "The Devil Comes Back to Retroville" also have that original feel to it. It helps that GaDS2000 writes wonderfully-GaD's stories draw you in and are very easy to read. It would make me jealous, but I've decided to assimilate all my favorite FF authors.
I write mostly original stories, but I also like writing fan fiction. Also, I am always trying new ideas. It can get a bit difficult to pull off and often it doesn't exactly come out like I want. I think that is the case with most writers. In any event, I am always trying to improve.
My writing is often character driven. I do my best not to compromise them by not giving them enough weight. My writing turns out better when I think along those lines. Understanding a character’s emotions well gives me enough fuel to write 1st person well enough. The character himself or herself takes you on the journey by reacting internally as well as externally to situation around him or her. However, I notice that I run out of fuel to write for 3rd person limited. It's the big reason why I feel my writing is so awkward. In these cases, although I know what drives the characters, I can't merely put it down. I have to describe it using the characters interactions with other characters or with the environment which is difficult for me right now.
I love to write about the topic of love not necessarily the romance type-although, all of my fanfiction is about that. hrrrm. I try to stick to a feel-good cuz itz-all-good in the end type story. However, I find that I need to balance myself out when I am writing. If I am writing a serious fic, I am often simultaneously writing a very silly fic. For DBZ I am writing Big Phat Dragonball Z at the same time as Hate. For Jimmy Neutron I am writing Cat Fight at the same time as a more serious JN fic I need a Beta for. Due to the nature of these fic's, the time spent on quality is different. On the stress reliever, even though I do give a good try at them, I don't go overboard because it would defeat the purpose of relieving stress. (Yeah... My old computer crashed and I never got around to getting the next chapters out. I don't like rewriting what I've already written. So... I probably wont be updating those stories)
Ah and finally, critique of whatever I write is always welcome. So, if you write a review, write what you like about it but don't forget to include where you think I can improve. Essentially, I would like you to tell me what worked and what didn't work. Finding out these things from readers will help me to become a better writer and I always appreciate that.
