Strategic Cyborg Evangelion
TV Tropes page: existent (tvtropes dot org slash pmwiki slash pmwiki dot php slash Fanfic slash StrategicCyborgEvangelion)
My flagship project, taking place in a crossover universe with Half-Life. That is, it uses Half-Life as backstory. Very heavily detached from canon but keeps the same characters; tech level is substantially higher than in canon, with humanity being capable of limited interstellar travel, nuclear fusion and large-scale beam weaponry but completely lacking any kind of understanding or even awareness of AT-fields. It also takes place in 2041/42, unlike the canon 2015.
As of currently, the SV thread is the most active one. If there are any questions, I can be found there. Be advised though that I will spoil if a full context is required to understand the answer.
Story ideas I might get around to writing in the future:
The Evangelion Odyssey
Another alternate backstory crossover, this time with Battlezone. It is also notable for its portrayal of Shinji as a crossdressing, borderline-antisocial tomboy who nevertheless inherited her parents' analytical abilities and the portrayal of the Evas as semi-sentient powered armor instead of building-sized cyborgs.
The One Who Calls The Gospel
Takes place in a slightly altered version of the canon universe where Mayumi Yamagishi transfers into Shinji's class while he's training with Asuka against Israfel. Slightly based on the Sega Saturn game Evangelion: 2nd Impression but diverges and continues beyond it.
If Toji's sister was the same age as him, could things have worked out between her and Shinji?
Maiden of the Apocalypse
Another radically different take on Evangelion, this time by portraying the Evas as symbiotic lifeforms that turn their hosts into not-quite-magical girls. Of course, no actual magic is involved, just good-old AT-field physics mindfuckery. And enough firepower to make Takamachi Nanoha nod in approval.
- untitled project - (not the actual title)
What if, during the battle against Gaghiel, Shinji and Asuka oversynced, got tanged and the Eva flipped their genders? SEELE's plans rapidly spiral out of control in short order.
Gundam stories in planning stages:
Mobile Suit Gundam ExSEED
My take on a SEED fic. It won't be a fix fic per se as people will still die aplenty; this is Gundam, after all. The main difference would be Flay not being a psychobitch, a completely different Freedom and Rau Le Creuset being less a raving madman and more a bitter but frighteningly sane man not unlike Zechs Marquise.
Fires of Redemption
What if Johann Trinity was the one who survived Ali's attack instead of Nena? And what if Aeolia, during his seclusion, got acquainted with a certain veteran Gundam pilot from the Universal Century?
Name: amitakartok. It's a contracted version of "amit akartok" which in my first language means "whatever you want". Smartass, I know; I just couldn't resist the temptation when I registered to a forum for the first time and the site asked what should be my username. I grew to like it and has been using it everywhere even though I also earned myself "...really?" glances in the municipal office and in university when they asked for an e-mail address for administrative purposes. Good for a laugh if nothing else, I guess.
I can be reached with the same name on Spacebattles, Sufficient Velocity, TV Tropes, EvaGeeks, Darkscribes and Facepunch; feel free to ask any questions in PM and you can expect a reply within 24 hours. You can also find me on Steam under this name, although I'm rarely online. Avatar is the same everywhere: a grinning black cat. Kudos if you recognize the source.
Alternate name: Fraktal. Only started using this one recently due to having admitted to myself that the original one is too smartass.
Age: over 23.
Time zone: GMT1. I'm a lazy guy so don't expect to reach me before midday.
Job: none yet. I'm a university student and too lazy to work next to school.
Other: according to an official Mensa entrance exam, my IQ is above 135, which puts me into the uppermost 1% of the population. So please bear with me if I don't immediately understand what you're trying to get across; the problem is on my side, not yours.
I also have a limited ability to translate doujins and Japanese-original fanfics into English and have done so several times before, though my actual knowledge of the Japanese language is not anywhere near enough.
Things I like in fanfics:
Things I dislike in fanfics:
Excessive angst followed by a downer ending.
Things I'll never write no matter how much you ask:
Darkfics. See above.
