Important Notice: No, I am not dead. I know I that the promised two-week hiatus has ended up being somewhere along the lines of a one-two month hiatus. (I honestly have no idea how long it's been...) My life has been very busy, so here's the hard truth: I'm probably not going to be able to update my fanfic again until the end of marching band, which means I won't be updating until November. I wish it could be better, but that's simply the way it has to be, and I'd rather let you know than have you keep wondering about it. I promise that I have not given up on ABBD. If it made it through a two-year hiatus, it can make it until November. I will finish ABBD. Hopefully by Christmas, but even if not, I definitely will finish it. To sum up this important notice, I will not be able to update my fanfics until November, but I will do the best that I can to update once marching band season is over.
I can never promise that I will be able to update two days in a row, or even that I can update more than once a week. Sometimes I can't even update once a week. Fanfiction is not the only focus of my free time, nor will it ever be the only focus of my free time. Sorry, but that's the way it is.
And oh yeah, I don't own anything. Disclaimer. There it is. Look at it. Like it. Love it. Get over it. There it is. Don't look for it anywhere else. It might be in some of my older stories, but you're definitely not gonna find it in any of my new stories. You would think that the "not owning anything" comes with the concept of "fan fiction," but evidently it's not that obvious...
Now that that's over with...
Random Exciting Things at the Moment
NEW SUPER SMASH BROS.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, sorry about that. It's just that I'm really really REALLY excited about the new Super Smash Bros. 3DS and Wii U games! You can bet I was watching that Nintendo Direct LIVE! Mario 3D World with Kitty Mario (I know it's called Cat Mario, but I'm calling it Kitty Mario simply because I can)... Mario Kart 8 with antigravity... and Super Smash Bros. with Villager, Mega Man, and Wii Fit Trainer! Plus my all time favorite, Pikachu! It's not like they would ever even dare to take Pikachu out of it or anything, but Pikachu looks so damned adorable in this game! All of the graphics are so beautiful... I could go on and on and on and on and on and words can't describe how it's so hard to stop talking about how awesome these new games are going to be, so I'm just going to do my best and cut it off while I can.
I'm really excited for the new Pokemon games! The new Pokemon that Nintendo has announced recently are pretty cool. The character customization is cool, plus a whole new region! Plus 3D! Plus coming out in English and Japanese at the same time! What is there not to like? For the uber Pokemon fan, this is super exciting! And now there's a new type! The excitement just continues to grow!
I'm really enjoying Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I'm having a lot of fun with it. I got it the day after it came out, so I've had it for a little over a month, and I definitely like New Leaf a lot more than City Folk. City Folk was the first Animal Crossing game I ever played and, um... this is kind of embarrassing, but I failed to realize there was a city in City Folk, so I definitely didn't enjoy it probably as much as I could have. Plus, I didn't try City Folk until about... February I guess? Or maybe March. Either way, the City Folk community was long gone, plus I had no access to said community, plus my friends that had played City Folk had stopped playing it, plus I didn't know there was a city, so I obviously didn't get to enjoy City Folk. New Leaf, however, is awesome. The graphics are much, much better and more realistic, the game has more to it being mayor and all, and I have a couple of friends who are playing. Animal Crossing: New Leaf = Nintendo win yet again. Complete side track: Ruby is my favorite character in Animal Crossing! She is so adorable and entertaining all at the same time! It's great! If you ever get a chance to accept Ruby into your town, do it immediately without hesitation.
Hey, you see that picture near the top left hand corner? Yeah, that picture. You know, the one with Mewtwo in it. The quote in that picture is from the very first Pokemon movie. Read it. Learn from it. Live by it. It is awesome, and very true, so don't ignore it, pay attention to it.
Hmm... That's about it for now. If I think of anything else that I find interesting at the moment, or if I lose interest in something that was interesting moments ago, I'll add it or take it down (respectively, of course).
Random Things that Bother Me at the Moment
After lots of consideration, I finally figured out what I didn't like about the ending to TLH (The Last Hope). I felt like the ending was rushed. The constant battles and fighting scenes were great, but then I felt like the last five pages were kind of thrown together. This is what the last three to five pages felt like to me: "Hey, the war's over! We're not all dead! Yay!" "Oh, look, Brambleclaw is leader! Oh look, he made his recently-reacquired mate his deputy!" "Life will move on. Dovewing out." That is basically what the ending is. Pardon me, but after spending twelve 300 page books leading up to the war that was decently paced but probably could have gone on longer, you can't even give it an epilogue? I mean, dang, twelve300 page books! Twenty four when you add the original series and TNP into that! At least give it a decent, not rushed ending. Alas, I still enjoy the Warriors series and am reading Dawn of the Clans, and I'm really hoping that Bramblestar's Storm gives some insight to life in the clans after an eleven-and-a-half book anticipated half book fought war, but I still wish TLH could have had a better ending.
I hate those "are you human" test things that you need to log in to places. It takes me at least five tries to get in every time. Figuring out that you can change which one you see has helped me lower it down to about three tries, but these "are you human" tests really make me feel kind of stupid... Just throwing that out there...
I hate bronchitis. I hate it but it loves me, considering that I get it about once a semester. Ugh... Bronchitis: Ain't nobody got time for that.
I absolutely love my Animal Crossing game, don't get me wrong, but I hate it when you tell a camper they can move into your town and then they end up being someone completely different. Let's take Eugene, for example. He seemed like a kind Koala, but then he came into my town and started flirting with my character, plus he does that really annoying dancing "shoom" and spinning thing... Plus, almost everyone else in my town has offered to let me buy something from their house, but Eugene hasn't, which really annoys me since I visit him every day in hope that he'll ask to move (and also cause I really want his drum set, of course). One time the flash went above his head and I was so excited, but he just wanted a public service project... That is the most disappointment I have felt in a long time... Moving on from Eugene, though, somebody recently moved out of my town: Vic. He was okay, but he only lost to Eugene in the list of people I wanted to leave my town, so I let him leave. Now, after a couple months of kindness, I was very offended when I first talked to him on the day he moved out. "(Name!) This is the last time I'll ever have to look at your lousy face! GAHAHA!" I mean, who is not going to be offended by that?!?!?! So anyways, from now on, I'm looking up a character on google or animal crossing wiki before allowing them to move into my town...
Stuff About Me
Yo. In case you couldn't tell by the very top of the page, my name is Icethroat21, but you can call me Icethroat or Icy.
I am obsessed with Pokemon. The obsession will never, ever, ever, ever, ever end. My room is filled with Pokemon plushies, toys, et cetera, and I have almost every Pokemon game that exists. I don't think I have a copy of Red or Blue laying around, sadly, and my family lost our copy of Gold, but I'm pretty sure we have everything else. When I was younger I remember being so excited because I got a copy of Pokemon Yellow in my stocking at Christmas. As of now, I have a Pikachu 3DS XL and my profile pictures are always related to Pokemon in some way or another. In case you couldn't tell, or you didn't understand the first time I said it, I am obsessed with Pokemon. Pokemon is my life.
So why do I not write any fanfic for Pokemon? I've thought about it, but I've decided not to. I love the games and the anime, but I don't feel the need to read or write any fanfic about it. I'm just going to enjoy it as it is.
I also love the Warriors series. I used to be obsessed with it. Now the obsession has subsided, but I still enjoy reading the new books when they come out. I recently read Tallstar's Revenge and thought it was awesome. Of course, I was very happy with the fact that Tallstar didn't have any romance in his life. A 500 page novel complete without romance! It was like a dream of mine!
In case you can't tell, I hate romance. So what's with the stories down at the bottom of my page that have romance in them? Well... just because I don't like romance doesn't mean I don't acknowledge it. I may be asexual, but that doesn't mean I hate everyone else for liking people in that kind of way. I may be atheist, but that doesn't mean I hate everyone else for believing in something higher than themselves. I may be Independent leaning toward Democratic, but that doesn't mean I'm going to hate you if you're Republican. That's not the kind of person I am. I am very patient and respective towards others' personal rights and opinions. I think it's cool whether you want to be straight, gay, both, or none of the above. I'm cool with how you live your life as long as you keep it to yourself and don't shove it in my face. That goes for sexuality, religion, politics, and just about anything you can think of. I don't care how you live your life and I think you should be able to live it however you like, without others interfering just because they think it's right or wrong, as long as you don't shove it in my face.
Well, that's everything about me in a nutshell. I love Nintendo, I'm obsessed with Pokemon, I love the Warriors series, I love science fiction television, and I keep my religious, sexual, and political opinions to a soft minimum because I don't have any problems with how you live your life as long as it doesn't try to change mine or shove it in my face. I'm a pretty relaxed person in general. Oh yes, forgot to mention, I'm a percussionist. I love playing music. I'm also very short. There, now that's everything about me. I'm obsessed with Nintendo, Warriors, science fiction television, I'm a talented percussionist, I'm short, I enjoy writing fanfiction, I'm Independent leaning Democratic, I'm the kind of atheist that doesn't get in everyone else's faces about believing in something, and my lack of sexual affiliations makes my life a lot simpler than the lives of most people.
That's pretty much all there is to know about me.
Stories (Not in Series)
A Blazing Blue Destruction: Bluefur refuses to give up her kits to Oakheart, as the kits are hers and she thinks that StarClan can't force her to do anything. She thinks that her kits are natural ThunderClan cats, and wants them to stay. This one decision quenches the blue flame that was meant to blaze through the forest, and Thistleclaw still remains with his thirst for blood. But this isn't the end; not yet. One of Bluefur's kits is meant to be her replacement. They are meant to be the new flame, which will bring an end to Thistleclaw's thirst for blood and finally let the clans prosper in a time of peace. Who will be the new flame: Mistypaw, Stonepaw, or Mosspaw? In process...
Running Up That Hill: Ever since the war, everyone has honored Ivypool for her bravery...perhaps too much. Many cats argue over becoming her mate, much to her dismay, especially since she doesn't want a mate. But is she going to have a choice? So many cats keep bothering her... Just how long can she take this? Can she reestablish her emotional stability, or will death be her only answer? Complete.
Zero Two: Cinderheart freed Cinderpelt in The Last Hope when she let her go and chose the life of a warrior rather than a medicine cat. Leafpool, Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Cinderheart thought everything with Cinderpelt was over when Cinderheart let her go. They had no idea how wrong they were... Complete.
Legacy of a Robin: The One-Shot Trilogy
Episode 1: Wing of a Robin: When I found out of Robinwing of RiverClan's warrior name, and the extreme originality of it, I decided to write a one-shot about an apprentice in ShadowClan named Robinpaw who is about to have her warrior ceremony, and when her name is also extremely original, the other four cats with that name are not too happy... Complete.
Episode 2: Star of a Robin: Rather than adding a chapter to Wing of a Robin, I've decided to write a sequel to it. Even though it's just another one-shot, it can still be considered a sequel. As Robinstar returns to camp she tells Flametail and Lavapaw about her ceremony. When they get back Flametail suddenly dies a mysterious death that no one knows the cause of. This brings Robinstar to give Lavapaw her full name, Lavaflame. Back in StarClan Robinwing of RiverClan purrs at the decent name, but then Robinstar of SkyClan appears. Then Robinwing (RC) realizes that Robinstar (ShC) still doesn't have an original name and throws another fit. Robinstar (ShC) and Lavaflame are called back to the Moonpool, where arguments rise, lives are wasted (literally), and cats are renamed...again... Complete.
Episode 3: Feather of a Robin: Sequel to Star of a Robin. Robinfeather now has an original name, but she doesn't know what attacked her while she was at the Moonpool. Meanwhile, Robinwing of RiverClan has decided to get to the bottom of whatever is going on at the Moonpool. He wants to know what that strange golden liquid is and why there were shadows in the mist rather than stars. Robinwing is going to find out what's happening, no matter what the consequences may be... Robinfeather has decided to go back and find out what's happening, so she decides to help Robinwing... Will they get to the bottom of what is happening? Or is the Moonpool in permanent danger? Complete.
