I am a professional fangirl. No, really--I actually write and publish fanfic for a living. I've written three novels based on Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen--you can find out more about those on my website.
This is where I have fun. I write about what I like, about the couples I like. Because along with being a professional fangirl, I'm a permanent shipper. There are so many ships I'll go down with, I might as well practice my hellos to Davy Jones right now. I won't list them, because it's pretty easy to figure out what they are based on the characters in the descriptions.
I have five different series of Doctor Who fics going right now, mostly because I'll start writing a new fic and then realise halfway through that it's the sequel or prequel to another piece. The Timelessness 'verse is my primary world. Those stories are the longest and most detailed.
Being to Timelessness 'verse:
The Doctor's Wife:
Glimpses of a Different Life:
(This series starts with the idea that the Doctor and Rose were together when he regenerated. Instead of a complete series rewrite, it'll offer glimpses into this life.)
(Blends the soulmates/soulmate identifying mark trope with the canon Doctor Who 'verse. Not a series of love letters.)
Regarding the unfinished Doctor Who stories:
They will all be completed. I started a few too many things at once and got a little overwhelmed, so I'll be focusing on one at a time until they're done. This is the plan:
Time is Still A-Flying is a different matter. I don't start posting my longer works until I have a complete draft, so you can count on a new chapter every Tuesday until the story is finished.
Overall plot disclaimer for canon-verse Doctor/Rose stories:
My headcanon is 100% Bad Wolf!Rose. Sometimes I can work that into the narrative of the story, sometimes I can't. But even if I don't say it, know that in my mind, they get forever together.
On a slightly less important note--and this is more of a trick I use that I'm offering to you--whenever I'm reading or writing fic set pre-Doomsday, I do so with the thought that "Because this happens, Doomsday doesn't." Like I said, that's more one reader offering a tip to another than anything I can really say as a writer.
