Fanfiction & Appreciation
I am always grateful for reviews on my stories and everyone who shares these characters and journeys with me. I write for myself, I write to entertain, and mostly, I write to share. I remember when I was in high school and leaving a review for an author I looked up to was scary and intimidating as I was shy. I'd never pressure anyone into writing a review. Or call someone 'rude' for faving or alerting with out leaving a remark. Yet, as I get older, I realize how precious fanfic is. Fic authors and fanart artists create content for free. They do so in their free time, between classes, or between shifts at work. One time long ago, that would have meant nothing to me. But now I see how fleeting time is. We could spend our time (hours and hours and hours) doing anything else. Yet, we decide to sit before a laptop and lay our hearts bare to people we'll never meet. Fanfiction fills my life with so much joy. For some reason, this site is still my preferred platform for sharing these stories. There's a nostalgia and grit to it like a floppy disk. And after so many years, there's still something thrilling about seeing an email alerting me to a new review. I write for you, as so many of us do. If you love a story, no matter how old it is, or how few reviews it has, please take a moment to write a little something up. Or else, it feels as though us authors might as well be shouting into the void. Keep your favorite fanfic alive and a spare a review. And my endless gratitude to those of you who do so. Thank you for the appreciation.
Clandestine update: Hopefully this chapter will be up within the week! thank you all
