My name is Jackary Salem, and I would first like to thank my readers for their continuous support.

I love comments and likes, but they're not why I do this. Everything I write is for myself. I write with the intent of bettering specific parts of my writing (e.g., character development or conflict resolution), so if it takes a while or no one likes it, that's fine. I'll never abandon a story.

I've gotten a lot of questions about what happened to two of my old FFVII stories, and the answer is simple: I took them down. I wrote them when I was thirteen or fourteen, and they were awful. Everyone had a happy ending, the resolution was rushed and made no sense, Cloud was terribly OP and melodramatic with no way to balance it out, the antagonists went crazy at the end for no reason, and they just sucked. I didn't want my name attached to that kind of bad product. One day, I'm sure I'll take my Harry Potter fics down, too. Or maybe I'll leave my old stuff up on this site and put my better works on Archive of Our Own.

I'm not sure what I'll do yet, but now you know why. I'm sorry to anyone who liked those stories. I might still have a copy of The Deal somewhere that I'll re-post if I decide to switch to Ao3.
