Author has written 1 story for Final Fantasy XII.
Welcome to my profile! I post a lot of info on my stories here, so if you're a regular reader/reviewer, you should check here every so often. Most likely you'll find the answer as to why a chapter's being held up and whatnot. Then when you find out why I haven't updated you can send me a PM threatening to kick my ass if I don't post the next chapter. Well, maybe not that, but sometimes a little encouragement is all I need to get the last few bits of a chapter written and posted.
In Love and War
I've noticed that the majority of the views for the story lately are coming from Finland. Hello, Finnish readers! Don't be shy!
Just keep writing, just keep writing, just keep writing, writing, writing, what do we do? We write, write...
Anyone feel like helping me finish/co-write a few of the rewritten chapters? I'm trying to so hard to finish everything, but with 4 classes a semester, it's almost getting to the point where both this story and school are consuming my brain. In a bad way. X_X
Ugh. I was really hoping to have part of the story up by now. The holidays took a heavier toll on me than I thought. But you know what encourages me to write? College. No, seriously. Going back to college gets me in the mood to write. I can't explain it. I'm working on ILW as I write this, when I should be working on a topic proposal due in two hours. Ugh. The worst part about this rewrite is the prologues. They have to set the stage for everything. I really wish I had friends that were into FFXII as much as I am. A big thank you to my readers for continually checking on this story. Looking at that hit counter whenever I log in really cheers me up.
If you're one of the few who check on my profile occasionally, then getting that email in your inbox shouldn't totally floor your when I finally update! Fete Crashers is undergoing its FINAL, I repeat, FINAL revision, and I'm hoping to get it up, along with the rewritten version of Chapter 9 in time for the holidays at the end of the month!
If you're one of the few reviewers I've chatted with over PMing, then you'll know that the rewrite of all the current ILW chapters has been first and foremost in my writing. I have not wanted to post any new content, purely because I've felt that any new content coupled together old writing would make the story look horrible. And if my writing style had changed and matured since I had last updated, how could I post Fete Crashers, which I've told readers many times will be the best chapter yet, when I felt the rest of the story was mediocre in comparison?
It was a really hard decision. However, after some debates with myself, a few faithful reviewers, andtaking all of their advice into consideration... I've come to the conclusion that holding the progress of ILW back because I set myself up with a hard goal was not only selfish, but I might risk losing readers who've been with this story since the very beginning if I keep taking too long.
So, here I finally am. Fete Crashers and Chapter 9, Parts I and II are my top concerns right now. The rewrite is officially taking a temporary backseat. For the curious: the reason I'm posting a rewrite of Chapter 9 before anything else is because I still feel the chapter wasvery poorly written from all of those years ago, and I needed new material to set the stage in Rabanastre for what you're all going to read in Fete Crashers. So please, stay tuned!
Still hard at work on writing. My backup laptop is still holding strong. Just recently moved... again. Inspiration is flowing steadily though!
It pains me to write this, but my plan of getting the whole rewrite done by the end of the summer is going to be delayed slightly. My laptop that I've had for almost a year has decided to crash about 5 times in the span of a month and a half. I know it has to do with the software and/or hardware, because I get the same error messages every time I wipe the computer and reload my files. And I know it's not my files or any of the programs I use. *le sigh* I am lucky though, because I kept an old Toshiba as my backup laptop and have all of my files backed up on numerous externals. It's just going to be tough using another computer that I need to reload Microsoft office on... But the show must go on! I'm still writing in full force, so please forgive me if it's not up exactly when I say it will be.
Rejoice to learn that the rewrite is in full force, and I'm hoping to get it up by the end of the summer, along with the newest chapter, Fete Crashers!
Check out the Facebook page/community I've made for my stories! Well... Hopefully I can post more stories as time goes by... ILW is my baby for right now though!
My In Love and War trailer! I hope you all like it, I worked incredibly hard on it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6HLwml-R54
THE CHAPTER LISTINGS: (Completed chapters in bold, chapter in progress in italics)
In Love and War: The Dalmascan Years (THE PREQUEL)
Details the events from the time Aralenne came to Dalmasca as a child up until Ashe and Rasler's wedding. Includes manga events. YES, there IS a FFXII manga, I urge you all to google it and check it out!
In Love and War: The Archadian Years (THE SHORT STORIES)
Not a full-fledged story. Details the two years Aralenne spent in The Empire. Each chapter would be a separate anecdote of life in Archadia, in no particular order. Goes into more depth on her relationship with the Solidor family. Also goes more into her relationship with the judges, namely Gabranth and Drace. Focuses mainly on Lenne and Larsa. I'll be looking to readers and reviewers for ideas they want to see come to life in this one.
In Love and War: The Sequel?
I'm confident that this will happen one day... I have plenty of ideas for it, but by the time ILW ends, I'll be looking for readers on what they'd want to see in a sequel. I've never played Revenant Wings, so that's not really an option as far as sequel ideas. The only for sure thing I have in mind is that Rozarria will be heavily involved.
Title: The Whips of God
This fic has been in the works for quite awhile now (quite a few years actually), but like most of my ideas, they don't come to fruition until I get most of the planning out of the way. That being said, this story has become very close to my heart as it's gone through several developmental changes. The best way I can really describe it is that it's going to follow a young female Shinigami from the time she graduates the academy and through the trials and tribulations of her life as life, love, and friendships are repeatedly tested. HISAGIxOC to start off with. Characters that will feature very heavily are Aizen, Yumichika, Byakuya... to name a few. Pretty much everyone will have a starring role at one point or another.
