Author has written 9 stories for Heroes, Stargate: Atlantis, Bleach, Sherlock, and Avengers.
Hello, I am a student with Creative Writing as half of my degree.
I love romance (everyone needs a bit of fluff every now and then).
I love satire (if we can't laugh at ourselves, then who can we laugh at?).
I love angsting (who doesn't?!).
I love character torture :)
My favourite fanfiction subjects to write on are Heroes, X-Men and Stargate (both), Harry Potter (of course!), Bleach (I'm well and truly a convert now!) though I think in the archive somewhere is some old Dragonball Z stuff :D
To my Life Anew readers: I'm so sorry I've stopped updating. It's officially on hiatus. After taking my reviews into account I re-wrote part of the end of the last chapter I posted and a new next chapter. Then my computer decided 'hey, I don't like that, I'm going to get rid of it'. Needless to say, one 'good' turn deserves another and I have since gotten rid of that computer. So I write to you from my still-shiny sexy machine that runs as smoothly as an innocent smoothie. One day I will be able to re-write what I re-wrote, but until then, my apologies for having to make you wait longer :(
To Miss M RE your review to Life Anew: I doubt you'll ever read this since you did not leave a signed review and I cannot respond to you directly but thank you for your idea, I would never have thought of that, actually updating a story and not just expecting my readers to read something that isn't there. For the reasons outlined above I have stopped updating, also I have been writing other projects that interest me more, I have a busy life and most importantly it is my story that I shall update when I please, not when ordered to do so. I have learned a lesson from writing these two Atlantis stories which is not to post stories that I have either not finished or are not close to finishing. Now the stories I do post are ones I have many chapters ready to put up so there is at least an end in sight for the story. I'm sorry if my writing practitises offend you, and will, if you prefer, take Life Anew and A Dangerous Secret down because they are going no where soon.
To all readers of A Dangerous Secret: I'm conflicted as how to continue. I could say that with what I've got written on my computer I have finished it, but I'm not sure how much I like it. I might just post it despite my reservations and leave you guys to see what you think. I'm still thinking about it. This might take a while! I may re-write bits, so until then, I guess it's on hiatus like Life Anew. Sorry!!
To everyone who is reading Passion for Paperwork: what's this? A FINISHED story?! Gods forbid! But it's happened anyway...I think the world might end. Thank you for everyone who reviewed and favourited and alerted it, I'm so glad people are enjoying it!
To readers of Best Mission Ever: I have finally finished putting the rest of the chapters up and it is now complete! My Gods, I wasn't sure I knew the meaning of the word 'complete', but I'm glad to report a successful completion. Thanks to those who have stuck by it, I'm sorry it took so long to get finished.
Thankees to Danny Goggles, who beta read B.M.E. Lots of love to you for that! More uber thanks to Skarla who betas all my Bleach work. Thank you for correcting my time-paradox inducing tense changes, Capitalisation issues and times when the sentence just plain don't make sense.
Tea Like Yours: I have almost finished posting this story. It lies finished at 20 chapters :) I am also casually writing bonus chapter, little scenes that don't really belong in the main narrative, but I wanted to share anyway. I would be interested in what people would like to see in these bonus chapters, I will be far more open to prompting for these. A million thank yous to everyone who has favourited, alerted and etc. An even greater thanks goes to everyone who has taken the time to tell me what they liked about this story and, indeed, what they were not so keen on. It's gratifying to know something I've written has become so well liked by the readers *biiig grin*
Review manifesto: I believe in substantial reviews that are longer than three words and don't just say 'nice, update soon'. I think we all appreciate being told what made our readers laugh/smile, what they liked and anything they didn't like in a positive and constructive way that doesn't say 'that was terrible, give up'. I also believe in not ransoming updates for reviews. I love reviews, I think all writers do, but I think it's unethical to say 'I will only update if I get x more reviews'. If you ever see that in my posts please point this out to me and I will undergo appropriate self-punishment :p
YES! I have changed my pen name. I used to write under The Knights Comma Black, but I have gone back to my usual name of Bracket the Indecie. I originally signed up as TKCB so people who knew my Bracket name wouldn't find stories I had posted on here because I was WAY to shy for people I knew to read my work and I thought 'oh no! what would they think of me for writing this s*t/smut/wtf??' But I am way past that and if people don't like the heated contents of Passion for Paperwork I challenge them to say that to my face and tell me why :) I write what I write and I am proud of it!
Shameless plug: I am now blogging, mostly about fanfiction, but writing in general. To hear what I've got to say visit ficsforkicks dot blogspot dot com The first post on Thunderbirds is now live! I also have a tumblr which I post other types of things, more about day-to-day fan interactions, progress on various fics whereas Fics For Kicks are more considered articles on various aspects of writing. The tumblr, Fics Anonymous is more light hearted; the web address ficsanonymous dot tumblr dot com.
I've now received two warnings from different people that Tea Like Yours may be taken down and I've seen the news update on the clarification of content policy of ff dot net. In light of this, I will be posting these fics on AO3 (archive of our own) under the same pen name (Bracket_the_Indecie). I will probably completely migrate to this site as I don't want to be submitting different fics to different sites as it will be a nightmare to keep track of. For the love of the simple life I will be moving to AO3, even though I still prefer several elements of the ff dot net service. I hope you will continue to enjoy my stories on there as well :)
I will make a more interesting profile later (I wonder how long THAT's going to be up here?!).
