Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.
It's been a long time since I've written any fanfiction, but one plotline seems to be sticking in my head. In one last attempt to commit thoughts to paper (or internet, as it were) I'm here, and I'm writing 'A New Beginning'. It's not the first story by that name that I've written.
I'm twenty-one, and female, and I live in England. I'm in my second year of studying for my degree in English Language and Linguistics. Should you wish to know more about me, I suppose you could ask.
Writing-wise - I can be quite sporadic in posting, but a bit of pestering usually reminds me to write a little more. I like to read slash, but cannot write it. I have tried. It was poor. I won't try again. It disappoints me slightly that the best time for writing fanfiction for Harry Potter has passed (i.e. during the wait for book six that seemed to go on forever!) and I no longer like the stuff I wrote which was so very well read and reviewed at the time. I hope at least, that I've come some way as a writer. I love to read fanfiction though, and go from particular types of story to the next almost obsessively (one day I'll love the Harry in Azkaban type, then next day, I'll read any HD slash I can get, etc), and often find myself spending hours reading instead of whatever I was meant to be doing. More than once, I have been up reading until the following morning. You might also know me on here as 'minniemcmouse'.
I hope you enjoy my story, and possibly more that come along (I have a few ideas for a continuation in the same universe, but better not walk before I can run really).
A New Beginning: AU. How could things have worked out for Harry Potter if he'd had some kind of father figure growing up? This is merely a suggestion as to how his childhood may have progressed if the Dursleys had been a bit more strict, and if he'd had some hope and guidance throughout his childhood. Setting the scene for the real story I have in mind beginning roughly around Harry's sixteenth birthday.
