Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter.
Hi, everyone! Kay here.
I've been reading since I was four, and I don't plan to stop anytime soon. My favorite authors and series include: The Heralds of Valdemar by Mercedes Lackey, Redwall by Brain Jacques, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, the Star Wars series, the Bible, Twilight by Stephanie Meyers, and Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling. I'm also big on non-fiction history works. Currently I am working on collecting all the ancient Roman and ancient Greek histories, but my real love is Medieval English history.
Enter my genealogy. I've been working on my family's genealogy for 10 years now. Some interesting facts about my family: On my dad's side of the family, I can trace us all the way back to the Holy Roman Emperor Charlemagne. I am also descended both legitimately and illegitimately from King John of England (also known as Prince John from the Robin Hood stories). Most of my family is English, Irish, Scottish, and Dutch. On my mom's side of the family, I am descended from Germans and, I think, ethnic Jews, although I haven't been able to confirm that they were Jewish. Her side can be traced to the early 1700s. Currently I am trying to write and publish a genealogy of my Cross ancestors and cousins.
In addition to reading and genealogy, I love to do ballet. I have been dancing since I was 8 and have always wanted to do it professionally. There are only two chances for that to happen, however: slim and none. So I have decided that the next best thing is to open my own ballet studio and nurture a love of ballet in little girls' hearts.
I'm not a very good writer. At least, I don't think so. So if you like any of my stories, please review and let me know. Otherwise I might delete it and leave you hanging if I think no one likes it. If even one person likes my story, then it's worth taking the time to write it.
On that note, I'm looking for a beta to help me with the flow of my story and to bounce ideas off of. If you can help me, please send me a PM.
I have a 5 year old, a 3 year old, and a newborn at home, so please bear with me if updates are slow. I promise I'll do my best to update every couple of weeks. Write now I am very motivated, but reviews and comments can do wonders for a writer's motivation. So please review!
