![]() Author has written 18 stories for Bones, NCIS: Los Angeles, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, and Arrow. I live in Victoria (Australia) and make no apologies for not conforming to American spellings of words such as 'colour' and 'humour' and 'honour'. I've always had the type of imagination which spins out scenarios like films in my head (getting me into trouble occasionally) and for a long time, I'd write them down just to get them out of my head. So they would just stay in the note books next to my bed, often in short form but some stories just demand to be written in full. I work in health which, not unlike hairdressing, gives you a window into so many different people's lives as they tell you not just about what brings them in to the clinic and their life stories but often the cream of the crop of their friends & family's stories. Add that to a rather dry sense of humour, especially about the actions of people and the situations they get themselves into & I have an awful lot of material to work with. Shows I watch & the Ships: Shadowhunters (Malec, but I also have a soft spot for Jimon and Clizzy), Arrow (Olicity), Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (Jack/Phryne & Hugh/Dot), Castle (Caskett), CSI New York, NCIS LA (Neric & Densi), NCIS, Person of Interest, Rizzoli & Isles, The Glades, Bones (Booth/Bones & Angela/Hodgins), CSI (Eric/Morgan) The things I love about Bones: It's irreverence, the Booth/Bones dynamic, the script writers who are incredible and it's ability to capture the 'human' element of the victim which so many shows seem to lose over time as they get more and more process based. (NCIS:LA) Nell & Eric: You have to love these two, whether you're a nerd (like me) or not they're just so much fun! There's not nearly enough fanfic for this ship out there so I thought I'd throw my hat into the ring. Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries: I'm a little bit infatuated with Jack & Phryne at the moment. I've always loved the 1920s and it's set in my home city which always helps but mostly I love watching the tussle between two incredibly strong wills; Jack restrained, conventional and honour bound and Phryne free, wild and hell bent on breaking the rules. Someone to Believe In is finally complete!! (It only took 9 years...sorry about that...) |
