Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games, and Nightmare Before Christmas.

Hey all, the name is Chrysalis. How ya doin'? I'm an aspiring writer of juvenile fiction and currently both in college to become a teacher (what a thankless and underpaid profession, I know, but there you are) and an employee/manager of the evil place that is McDonald's. I'm currently focusing on fanfiction as a platform to developing my writing skills, so please, read and review if you have the time, I appreciate CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Please don't tell me I suck and not tell me what is wrong exactly. That being said, so far my writing is random, off-the-wall weirdness, and maybe not completely in-character, and I realize this. In most cases, the situations my borrowed characters get into is not a situation in which their original author would put them in, so I kinda go with what I feel would be appropriate.

I haven't written much, and nothing lately, but I'm working to fix that between school and work, especially over the summer. Hopefully by fall my one and only story will have some companion pieces, detailing my OC Darkling's acquaintances with the notorious characters in Friends and Stalkers. I've already started writing the intro piece, where she moves to Halloweentown to her freaking AWESOME house (OMG, if I ever had a house like Darkling's, I would never leave!) and has to deal with a strange creature already inhabiting the place. Anyway, I probably already said too much, but I hope you'll stick around to see what's going on in my crossovers!

Current characters in the Darkling Jade Rowe Saga:

Smeagol/Gollum, from LoTR (Intro: "The Day She Moved In")

Jack Skellington, from The Nightmare Before Christmas

Severus Snape, from HP

Draco Malfoy, also from HP

Mephistopheles, from Dr. Faustus

Aubrey, from In the Forests of the Night and Demon In My View

Gabriel, from Blood and Chocolate--Book! Not movie!!! God, that movie was terrible in relation to the book.

Oberon, from a Midsummer Night's Dream (Intro: "Friends and Stalkers are Rarely Helpful")

Please feel free to PM or review any suggestions/requests for the "How She [Darkling] Met..." tales. I got Smeagol ("The Day She Moved In") and Oberon ("Friends and Stalkers..."), have an idea for Severus/Draco, and a vague plan for Mephistopheles as well as Jack--but I'm drawing blanks for our werewolf Gabriel and vampire Aubrey (who was SUPPOSED to be Lestat, if it makes anyone care, but apparently Anne Rice or fanfiction.net has an issue with fanfics of her works being posted here...if anyone has a better/more fitting suggestion, please make it now!). Any suggestions or requests for additional characters to be added into the mix at a later date will also be considered.

Also, currently working on a Hunger Games fanfic! Super excited, and I'm encouraged by the new subscribers! I have to be honest, I have not exactly sorted my feelings to the series after Mockingjay and I'm not sure if I like it or not. But it is very interesting and has been haunting my dreams somewhat fierce. I totally agree that Katniss should have ended up with Peeta, after all that angst about him being the Capitol and her saying that Gale's fire and passion was too close to what she held in her. She really works better under Peeta's softness better. But I personally love Gale as much as Peeta, and it broke my heart to see him lonely. So I created someone for him! Yay! The story is not going to be easy and I'm hoping to stay as close to the author's work as possible, moving through the series eventually to somewhere between the last chapter and epilogue. So if anyone sees any inconsistencies forming, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!
