So, I figured it was time to update this...Since it's been a while since I have.

So, Hello all! I'm Rosimae and welcome to my profile!

Here's a little about me:

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I am proud of it.

I understand that there are many misconceptions about my religion, so if you have any questions you'd like cleared up, feel free to PM me, I'm happy to share :)

I respect that everyone has their own opinions and beliefs and I will say this. I will NEVER insult your religion, I may not agree with some of the things you believe (or don't believe), but I will never ever insult it or you for believing those things, so I'd appreciate it if you would show me the same respect. Thank you :)

I dress modestly because it makes me feel beautiful and comfortable at the same time.

I don't drink, smoke, or use drugs because I don't like the consequences of doing so.

I don't sleep around because I am saving myself for my husband, after all, giving myself to him is the greatest gift I can offer him and I don't plan on sharing it with anyone but the right man. Plus, I really don't want a baby right now...

I respect the sanctity of the family unit - Husband, Wife, Children. No, I do not agree with gay marriages or relationships. That doesn't mean I don't like and respect people in them. I have an uncle whom I care deeply for who is gay, and my favorite aunt is a lesbian. I just believe that romantic relationships are all the more romantic when it's a man and woman.

I don't swear. I believe if you have to resort to swearing, you need to improve your vocabulary. There are plenty of better words that can be used such as Erre es korakas, cat dirt, or snorgaloff.

Do my beliefs affect these things? Yes, don't your beliefs shape who you are?

Alright, here's some more facts about me :)

My Favorite TV shows:

DOCTOR WHO - this is basically the best show in the world and if you haven't watched, well, you simply haven't lived.

Chuck - love it! Cracks me up every time. Plus, it's exciting, you know?

Merlin - I love his ears!

Sherlock - awesome, simply awesome.

Stargate SG1 - but only as long as Colonel O'Neil is in it, once he left I just kinda lost interest...

White Collar - Neal Caffery, need I say more?

Bones - I love the mystery and the medical side

House - basically watch for the medical stuff (I like to try and figure it out before them)

Psych - simply hilarious :)

Eureka - Oh My Gosh! I love it! Jack is simply awesome in it cause he's smart, but in a different, cooler way than everyone else there

Sanctuary - aaaaamazing! I wish they did more after they got their new place!

NCIS - Abby is absolutely brilliant! And Gibbs is a fun character too!

Anime I like to watch:

Ruroni Kenshin - he's cute, good with a sword, good with kids, can be silly or serious as the occasion calls for it. Plus, it's just a fantastic show!

Shaman King - honestly didn't know what to think when I first started watching...then I got hooked :)

Salior Moon - a childhood favorite that I still enjoy on occasion, even if half the episodes are watching their transformations.

Fushgi Yuugi - an absolutely fantastic idea in this one, plus, its so intense!

Magic Knight RayEarth - honestly, who doesn't like the idea of being thrown in a different world and being told you have to save it. Plus the twist at the end was one I didn't really see coming.

King of Bandit Jing - okay, let's be honest, I love a good thief story and this was awesome. I wish there was more to it.

Elemental Gelade - here's my romantic side coming out, but hey, it's got action too! Plus, the idea behind the story is super interesting to me.

Fullmetal Alchemist - this is like my show that I watch when nothing sounds good. I don't know why, I just find it entertaining.

Black Cat - first off - EEK! secondly, come on, I wish I were that good with a gun.

Inuyasha - never did get through ALL the episodes cause there's like a bajillion. But they're fun to watch every once in a while.

Howl's Moving Castle and any others by the same director - because who doesn't like a little feel good weirdness?

My favorite things to read:

Percy Jackson and the Olympians - okay, confession. I own at least three copies of each of these books and have read them all at least a dozen times. I love the characters. I love the mythology. And it boggles my mind to think of all the research that has gone into these books!

The Kane Chronicles - not quite as good as Percy Jackson, but still AWESOME! I love Egyptian mythology, so it was so fun to read about it in the present day.

Heroes of Olympus - AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE HOUSE OF HADES TO COME OUT!!!

Harry Potter - I grew up with this kid, so yeah, I cried when I never received my Hogwarts letter, and yeah, I'm sad I'm not a witch.

Any of Tamora Pierce's books - Shatter Glass is one of my all time favorites of hers - these books are simply astounding, and like the Percy Jackson books, I have read them again and again and again.

Alcatraz verses the Evil Libriarians - always good for a laugh and highly recomended!

Elantris - by Brandon Sanderson - actually, I recommend all his books. He is one of the most complicated, interesting, frustrating writes I have ever had the pleasure to meet and I have loved everything he has written. It takes me at least two weeks to recover from reading one of his books, meaning I can't read anything during that time because everything pales in comparison.

Fablehaven - awesome :) The first book took me a while to get into it, but now it's my favorite of the series.

There's many, many more, but it would take up way too much space to write them all out, so those are just of few!

Things I like to do:

Play the Piano - I don't like to practice, I just play music

Hike, swim, jog (sometimes), snowboard. I'm not big on sports, these are only on the very rare occasion I get up the energy or willpower to do them.

Try and write my own novels - I've started so many, I just can't seem to finish them!! GRRRR!! But I will, one day...

READ!!! - I can think of no greater past time than that of submerging yourself into a different world and coming out a better person because of it.

Take care of injuries - especially nasty ones :) - Hey, I'm a nurse, what did you expect ;)

Things I like

Animals! Especially cats!

SNOW - I just don't like to drive in it!

Swimming - so nice on a hot, sweaty day.

Chocolate - you can never go wrong with chocolate

Playing video games - Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is my favorite, Skyward Sword is also fun!! Final Fantasy X and X-2 also :) and Kingdom Hearts! I also like Trauma Center, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Party, Excite Truck, Mario Striker's Charged, and the list goes on.

Sleep - remember when you were a kid and you had nap time but you hated it? Wish I could have nap time again...

This is such a neat story:

Someone is always watching us, and is always there when you need help. All you have to do is reach out a hand and ask for help. :)

A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit
some friends one
evening
and time passed quickly as each shared
their
various experiences of the past year.

She ended up staying longer than
planned,
and
had to walk home alone. She wasn't
afraid
because it was a small town and she lived
only
a
few blocks away.

As she walked along under the tall elm
trees,
Diane asked God to keep her safe from
harm
and
danger.

When she reached the alley, which was a
short
cut to her house, she decided to take it.

However, halfway down the alley she
noticed
a
man standing at the end as though he
were
waiting
for her.

She became uneasy and began to pray,
asking
for
God's protection.

Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness
and
security wrapped round her, she felt as
though
someone was walking with her.

When she reached the end of the alley,
she
walked right past the man and arrived
home
safely.

The following day, she read in the
newspaper
that
a young girl had been raped in the same
alley
just
twenty minutes after she had been there.

Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and
the
fact
that it could have been her, she began to
weep.

Thanking the Lord for her safety and to
help
this
young woman, she decided to go to the
police
station.

She felt she could recognize the man, so
she
told
them her story.

The police asked her if she would be
willing to
look
at a lineup to see if she could identify
him.

She agreed and immediately pointed out
the
man
she had seen in the alley the night
before.

When the man was told he had been
identified,
he
immediately broke down and confessed.

The officer thanked Diane for her bravery
and
asked if there was anything they could do
for
her.

She asked if they would ask the man one
question.

Diane was curious as to why he had not
attacked
her.

When the policeman asked him, he
answered, "Because she wasn't alone.
She
had
two tall men walking on either side of
her."

Amazingly, whether you believe or not,
you're
never alone. Did you know that 98 of
teenagers
will not stand up for God?
