Author has written 165 stories for Inuyasha, and Avatar: Last Airbender.
My name's Amber, and I'm a 44 yr old mother of three, all of whom are now adults. (Not that they really act like it sometimes.) I am an Inuyasha addict yet oddly enough I've never been attracted to any of the other anime out there. (And believe me, my daughter tried.)
As for cartoons, well Avatar: The Last Airbender is my most favorite of all time.
The only three pairings I really like in the Inuyasha world are Inu/Kags, Sess/Kags, and Inupapa/Kags. I don't like Koga/Kags at all and will NOT write one, so people, please DON'T ask. I just can't stand Koga - and for those Koga fans, I'm sorry, but he drives me crazy.
At this point in time I have one Sess/Kag open called That's My Girl, and another called Trading Yesterday that I am about to begin posting on. I also have one Inupapa/Kagome called Splinter'd Realities. It is a difficult plot with a lot of intrigue and historical content, and will definitely be my longest story - at least for a while. Who knows what the future may hold?
I also have quite a few more plots for Sess/Kags, a couple for Inu/Kags, and several for Papa/Kags, as well, all stories that I have not begun posting on, and all are in the very beginning stages of being written. All in all, I won't be disappearing from the fanfiction scene for a LONG time to come, barring death, of course. (knock on wood)
For my 150th posted story I've done something different - I've written a short vignette based on Avatar: The Last Airbender.
I'm back home in the Pacific Northwest, in Washington state. I finally feel like I can breathe again! But that move all the way across country... well ... to put it bluntly, it sucked.
Quote of 2009: "The tooth fairy teaches kids that they can get money for selling body parts... I blame her for certain, shall we say, questionable professions?"
Quote of 2010: "Some things never change - my age is one of them."
Quote of 2011: "If the word 'cost' is in the sentence, then I can't afford it."
Quote of 2012: "Have a nice day - somewhere else." O_O
Quote of 2013: "Race - a pigment of your imagination."
Quote of 2014: "Some people deserve a high five - in the face."
Quote of 2015: "Life. One way or another it's going to kill you." (Personal Quote)
Quote by David Eddings, my absolute most favorite author, who died in June of 2009: "Plaguirism is the first rule of scholarship."
Personal Quote: "I'm not lazy, I'm a conservationist... I'm conserving energy."
Second Personal Quote: "The past is dead, the present is dying, and only the future still lives."
Quote just because I'm tired: "It's late - and getting earlier."
Funny quote I found somewhere, though I can't remember where: My parents told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up - so I decided to be a bitch.
And I dedicate this spot to my dad, Frank Hamilton - fly swiftly, dad, and rest well. July 11th, 1939 - May 17th, 2010.

Okay, I'm going to put out a pet peeve of mine and rant about it. If you are going to leave a critical review of someone's work, then do it while signed in, not anonymously. To do that under an anon nic is really just cowardly and disrespectful. You are nothing more than a flamer at that point, because you are only willing to put your point of view up, and not to have someone respond to it. In other words, you are only interested in your own opinion, and are afraid your criticism wouldn't stand under a challenge from the author or anyone else. So... from now on, if you can't show enough respect to sign in before leaving reviews that are critical (and that's putting it politely) of my work, then I won't show enough respect to leave the review up for others to see. Simple as that. And 'you' people know who you are - leaving such reviews not only of me but of other authors as well - it's pretty sad when a person has to resort to leaving a rant on their profile because of the lack of respect or courage by others. I much prefer to respond to such things in private message and get an honest debate going about it, but when a person leaves an anon review, that becomes impossible and this is my only recourse.
I'm done - for now.
I recently found out that one of the better fanfic authors on this site passed away - psychochic32 passed on due to certain health problems. I wish her godspeed, and she will be missed.
You know what? I've got yet another rant. I recently received a - guess what - anon review basically ORDERING me to post another chapter of Splinter'd Realities right away. Can you guess what expression is on my face right now? It read, and I quote - inutaisho lover:hurry with the next and last chapters please i'm getting sick of waiting for ths story to be completed. Okay, so what the hell does this person think I am? A forty year old virgin crouching in my mother's dank basement and writing stories on demand? HELLO, NEWSFLASH - I HAVE A REAL LIFE OUT IN THE REAL WORLD, UNFORTUNATELY, AND I CAN'T IGNORE IT TO WRITE CHAPTERS BECAUSE YOU'RE SICK OF WAITING FOR THEM! If you don't like it, don't read the rest of the story, because I can guarantee you this fic WON'T be finished anytime soon. It's only just past the halfway point, for god's sakes! This fic, once finished, will be very close to the length of Fenikkusuken's(sp?) The Phoenix Blade - and as far as I'm aware, at least on the Inuyasha side, it's the longest story on here!
So the bottom line is this - I'm not making any money on this story. I'm writing it for my own entertainment, as well as for those who enjoy my efforts at writing. But I can't let my fantasy world suck me into it completely - I DO have a family to take care of. If you can't understand that and have patience, then don't bother reading fics that are INCOMPLETE. Stick with reading ones that are finished.
Okay... rant over. For now. Until someone with all the brains of an ant pisses me off again.
Got another rant - well really, its the same old rant couched in new terms - sigh. These people sometimes just piss me off to no end. I just started posting on a Sess/Kag called Nefarious. It's only three chapters in, and already I've had about twenty 'guest' reviews - ones with no names, of course, or as I like to call them, 'ghost reviews'. And they all say the SAME DAMN THING. Does this person really think I'm that dumb that I wouldn't be able to figure out that this person is simply sending me slightly re-worded demands for the same thing? And all those demands are making me want to do is STOP posting on the story entirely! These little snotnosed brats running around today calling themselves adults seem to think that the authors on this and other sites DON'T HAVE ANY KIND OF LIFE OUTSIDE OF WRITING STORIES TO KEEP THEIR OBNOXIOUS SELVES OCCUPIED! Well, let me disabuse you of that opinion. I DO in fact have a life, and it ISN'T sitting around writing chapters of stories for selfish little beasts. I will UPDATE when I friggen feel like it and have the chance, and not a second before. And if those anon so called reviews - they aren't, they are simply demands for me to cater to their whims - don't stop, I just might stop posting altogether, just to piss whoever this is off. Oh, and if you are in such desperate need of fics to read, try writing your own. We'll see how you do at it, eh?
So, bottom line... get a clue and stop sending me those obnoxious so-called 'reviews' or the story will go byebye and I'll only post it on my account on a website that allows ME to control who is allowed to read and who is not.
Okay, now let's get back to our regularly scheduled programming.
