Greetings, Salutations, and a general Hi! How ya doin'?
I am a human female sitting somewhere in the US of A, and very quietly going mad. I hover between the ages of 6 1/2 and 42 - my maturity level fluctuates with how tired I am and/or how the weather is.
I have a lot of obsessions, most of them book related. Among them are LotR, Star Wars, Narnia, Jane Eyre, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Miracle Worker, Agatha Christie, James Herriot, Douglas Adams, Sherlock Holmes, and the Baroness Orczy - just to name a few! The Scarlet Pimpernel is the first obsession I ever fed by writing fanfiction, and now I am caught up in Star Trek and the Marvel Movieverse too.
I love Orczy's sense of adventure, her historical context and her plot holes! She is an extremely satisfying author to write fanfic for. I grew up watching and loving the classic 1934 movie with Leslie Howard - imagine my surprise when I discovered Orczy's series of Scarlet Pimpernel books! I started writing fanfic almost immediately.
I grew up on Star Trek-The Next Generation, but the 2009 movie has opened my eyes to the Original Series. Really, who could resist the lure of Kirk, McCoy, Spock, Uhura, Pike, and all the rest of them? They have so many stories, just waiting to be told.
Iron Man was my favorite movie of 2008, and my favorite comic-book movie to date. (Yes, more than Avengers ;) The characters and their stories are simply the most compelling I've seen in a reallllly long time. IMO, the only superhero movie better than IM1 is Incredibles. (Pixar RULES)
Everything else here is just my random and eclectic mind being it's LOCD self (that's literary-obsessive-compulsive-disorder, for those of you who don't know ;)
A bit on how and what I write:
I source my fics almost completely from books. Where appropriate, I source from movies or TV shows, but books are my main source of inspiration.
I enjoy historical context, so I work it into my stories, and try to research well. Of course, the original author takes precedence, so even real history sometimes has to bow to the value of entertainment!
Canons are important to me. Very important. Non-canon ships and AU's that are not comedy are not my thing, and I don't write much of them - though I don't usually have too many problems reading them.
Reviews are ALWAYS welcome, and much appreciated, with constructive suggestions preferred. (I warn you that I am allergic to inflammatory criticism, so if you feel it necessary to flame me, I will just sneeze and leave the room :)

Updates. . . for those of you who want to know. . . ;)
Yeahhhhhh. . . . . I'm sure no one wants to know why I've been Out Of Commission for so long (and trust me, you don't ;), but I am back, happy, and will be updating some things real soon.
The Adventure of the Australian Refugee - Has been removed. . . . . . . . because it MAY ACTUALLY BE PUBLISHED FOR REAL!!!!! Nope, not kidding - I've got actual permission from the actual Conan Doyle Trust to publish this story. For real. Wow. Yeah, now you know ONE reason why I've not been writing anything else lately. . . . (X_X)
An Exquisite of 92 - A NEW CHALLENGE FIC FOR EVERYONE!!!!! 6 entries already, and more on the horizon. It's a long way to 92, so don't be shy!
The Coterie of an Exquisite of 92 - Belfast Docks, Quill Nostalgia, Pimpernel Princess, Cairistona, Slytherinsal, Mary Anna Witt, Clio1792, and bean21.
55 Fiction Challenge - IS DONE! WOW! I am amazed, delighted, thrilled and every other positive feeling in the book! Scarlet Pimpernel Fandom - YOU ROCK!
The League of 55 Fiction - Pimpernel Princess, Clio1792, Much Ado About Nonny, Sherlockian Girl, Protector of the Gray Fortress, bean21, Teish, Alice Esther, Cairistona, Sileas, Percy's Gadzooks, handschuhmaus and Belfast Docks. These are our great contributors. Go read all their other fiction too! (and don't forget to review ;)
The Legend of the Scarlet Pimpernel - Will be updated in the near future. I hope. . .
The Case of the Purloined Penny - a collaboration fic, but most likely finished. I may write up a random little ending though. . . .
The Scarlet Pimpernel And The 21st Century - is in the process of being updated and edited - keep a lookout!
Captain Jack Blakeney and the Scarlet Pirate - is probably not going to be updated. Sorry folks, I'm just not THAT random very often.
Falcon in the Rhyme - finished unless the Muse decides to randomly knock me flat again. If you have an idea, but just can't write it yourself, let me know, my Muse is very nice in situations like that.
Richmond the Screenplay - an extremely long project I WANT to do, but may never find time for. . . Argh for responsibilities, what? But I AM curious as to everyone's ideas for fantasy casting. . . and if the whole screenplay ever gets written. . . well. . . who knows?
The Whole History of The Scarlet Pimpernel in 3000 Words or Less - Finished. Done. Over with. Complete. Please don't ask for more - it's the WHOLE history of the Scarlet Pimpernel in 3000 words or less - I CAN'T make there BE more. Sadly.
An Assemblage Of Sorts - Real life has been kicking me in the rear. Sorry about that. But the Avengers was a GREAT movie and I'm inspired, so. . . yeah. . . there will be more.
Ko-mekh - I managed to delete the almost-finished last chapter of this, and have not yet built up the heart to try again. So, yeah, sorry about that. :(
The Fourth Element - Two more elements to go! And yes, this will be finished soon, since I have incorporated it into my "Tides of Vulcan" story-arc.
The Tides of Vulcan - The long and utterly absorbing project I am in the middle of at this moment. If you want it to go faster, you KNOW what to do! Read and review, of course! ;)

Thanks for visiting, I hope you can stay a while, sit back and make yourself at home. . . have a cup of tea. . . put on some music. . . and read the fun fan fiction!
