This is my first time venturing into fan-fiction.
My healthy obsession, (unhealthy according to hubby, but he's not a doctor), began last November during my Drugs and Crime course in school. We were watching a video on how to make meth, random, I know, and we were all being good, attentive boys and girls. Don't judge me. If the university requires us to learn about illegal drugs, who am I to interfere? Anyway, my friend, Ash, was sitting next to me reading Twilight and not paying attention at all. I was appalled that she would let all this knowledge go to waste.
She explained how a sparkly vampire was better than any old silly course. Of course, I didn't believe her, nothing was better than this class.
A few days later I went over to TJ Maxx, because I refused to spend full price on a pair of shoes that I needed for a cruise I was going on, and saw the books at the register. They were 5.99 and I said 'what the heck'. I bought Twilight and New Moon. In two days I had read both books. Of course, I developed a nervous twitch because, it's easy to lose track of the drinks on your "tab", I mean, I wanted to know what the heck happened next. At our next stop in St. Thomas, I dragged hubby all over the island looking for a book store. Fifteen minutes and three simultaneous hair braids later, we found one and I purchased Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. The first three books survived the trip but, unfortunately, Breaking Dawn wasn't so lucky. It ended up in the pool of the lido deck. Darn. It probably should have been flung into the ocean, but then that meant I would have to stand up and I was on vacation for goodness sake so the pool it was. True Story
Of course, I didn't think that through, because I then had to retrieve it from the pool. I should have gotten my lazy butt off the lounge chair and launched it overboard but I'm sure the marine wildlife would have thrown that crapfest back onto the ship, with my luck, hitting some poor 3 year old and I would have to blame it on the dolphin and no one would believe me because everyone just lovesdolphins. Well, everyone except that 3 year old. He would be traumatized for life and I would have that on my conscience. No, thanks.
My best friend and I have major ESP. I'm sure this is what Sprint Mobile is charging me 11.00 a month for as "other". I mean, I'm already paying for my cell, pics, text and taxes so I'm convinced "other" is for the ESP. Probably. I tried to get them to pro-rate it, but that was a massive fail. They just stared back at me in awe. This was over the phone.
End of randomness
Back to business, I'm writing my first fan fiction story using the Twilight characters but with a CSI spin to it. I figure someone should make good use of my degree. Fictional characters included.
Constructive criticism is always welcome. Destructive criticism should be reviewed, reworded, and repackaged as constructive criticism. Anything less would leave me no choice but to refer you back to the Breaking Dawn incident. You can only blame yourself.
