Though Renesmee "Nessie" isn't my favorite character in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series, I like to believe I share her power, to an extent. Nessie can show people her thoughts and memories. I love to communicate my thoughts and feelings through writing and performance, and I believe I do so pretty well.
Check out my YouTube channel as well. I mostly make AMVs, but I've started making trailers for my fics, too. Search: CDGPhoenix (that will bring up the link to my channel, though I simply go by CDG on YT now). You'll recognize me by the same pic I use here.
I love writing, dancing, acting, singing, going on long walks, watching movies, reading, browsing YouTube ("Cat vs Printer - The Translation" by Chris Cohen never gets old), and playing video games. Unfortunately, I've fallen very ill (as of October 2013). I'm in too much pain to enjoy all those hobbies as much as I did before this illness took over. It's a blessing and a curse. I'm unemployed now and living with family, and I spend most of my days in bed or resting on the couch, but now that I have so much free time, I've been able to return to my writing. Progress is slow, due to my pain and weakness, but I'm finishing my long-neglected stories now. I only hope my once faithful readers will all come back to me. A nice review or PM always makes me feel a little better and puts a smile on my face. Pain and illness aside, waking up to a full inbox reminds me I'm still doing something meaningful.
As a reader on this site, I review fairly often (if I don't login, I use my initials: CDG), but I don't Favorite easily. I mean it. Serious kudos if I Favorite one of your stories.
Quirky physical feature: My eyes change color. They are green, blue, gray, and rarely a muddy shade of brown. Sometimes all the different colors show at once, sometimes one color holds dominance. The color changes according to colors I'm wearing and my mood, it seems. They always turn green when I cry.
NEWS AND UPDATES
11/11/2013 NOTE ABOUT MY FICS: At last, at last, my writer's block has been obliterated and I'm writing chapters again, I expect to start posting updates on all my stories very soon. I'll try to focus on COS1 in particular, since it's my most popular fic by far, but I'm also anxious to finish the tear-jerking PSILY, of course. Naturally, I'm also determined to finish my most neglected baby: HPGG. After some reworking of that outline, I've cut one chapter, so I only need to write 3 more chapters to finish that one (about time, since I started writing that one back in 2005, as soon as I finished reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, publishing it here in 2009). IMPORTANT NOTE: Followers of the COS trilogy-to-be, reread COS1, CH9, as I've extended Eleazar's explanation of Saturno mythology and my version of Volterran history, including information that is crucial to COS2. Of course, after this long (so, so sorry), rereading the whole story is recommended, as it's chock-full of deep detail, and here's a little teaser for you: things with Edward are not as they seem. I am coming back to you now, I promise. At some point, I'll also be fixing technical errors in all my work and replacing the existing chapters with the revisions. I'm too obsessive about such things to leave that alone. I'm a recovering comma-maniac. Phew! First step is admitting you have a problem...
11/16/2013 NOTE ABOUT HPGG: I don't know what happened, but for some reason I woke up at 3am this morning, grabbed my notebook, and wrote a very long prologue to HPGG. So my first fanfic will be 27 chapters in length, after all. That said, I still only have 3 chapters left to write, since the final chapter woke me up and wrote itself. 11/17/2013: The madness continued. I came up with a complete soundtrack for HPGG and listed it with the other Twilight soundtracks below.
11/23/2013 NOTE ABOUT MY COS TRILOGY: Still working on the new chapters. Almost done. You can look at the complete soundtracks below for a musical preview of sorts. In fact, as proof that I do plan on finishing this trilogy, I've posted the soundtracks for COS2 and COS3 as well! I've seriously already got all the chapters outlined for the full trilogy. I now know COS3 will be 17 chapters long, give or take. It's just a matter of finding the strength, energy, and time to write the full chapters. See the soundtracks below for a taste of the full COS Trilogy! Number of chapters and song choices are subject to change, but change is unlikely.
1/07/2014 NOTE ABOUT COS1: Oops! I already mentioned the fact that I plan to go through my fics and fix technical errors I've noticed that are driving me nuts (yes, I'm neurotic and obsessive that way), but now I've also noticed I messed up my intended timeline in COS1. Little things, really. I just need to insert filler scenes here and there or change wording in certain chapters to indicate elapsed time. Don't worry, most of the changes will be small enough to negate the need for full rereading, but it will help the flow of the story overall. Oh, and CH22 is almost finished. It's a long one, but unless I run into trouble, I should have it posted within the next few days. Then it will just be a matter of writing the final chapter, 23, which will include a preview of COS2, CH1. :) I also decided to make some soundtrack alterations and changed a chapter title. COS1,CH16 (the big M chapter with the L-word) is now called "Leave One to Love One" and its new song is "Let Me Go" by Avril Lavigne ft. Chad Kroeger. I also changed the song for CH4, though not the title: "Say Something" by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera. I just stumbled across the song and thought of how perfectly it fits that chapter. As for CH16, I was never thrilled with my original chapter title or song choice (too cheesy). I'm much happier with the adjustments.
3/14/17 NOTE ABOUT MY FICS: Debilitating and escalating medical complications compounded with crippling depression and anxiety can apparently wipe all interest and energy from a person. Ha ha. Seriously, I apologize to all my readers from the bottom of my hear for my long absence. I still have a rough road ahead of me, but here I am, back for another round. Have faith in me and give me hope, and I'll try my hardest to not let you down so badly again. I'm here, and I'm not giving up. COS2, CH3 is now up.
Only long soundtracks will be listed here. One-shots and other short fics with one or two "theme songs" won't be listed. Soundtracks are listed in alphabetical order. Song numbers match chapter numbers, so you can look to the soundtracks for musical previews of chapters to come in WIP fics. :)
