Hello! I'm Anne. I think it goes without saying that I love writing; I've been writing since I was thirteen.
The main purpose of my fics is to improve my writing style, so I don't always finish fanfics. A lot of times, I'll get bored with a fandom, or rethink the idea I had, so I'll abandon it (sorry for that! I do try not to do that too often!). Some fandoms are also just hard to write for, like Doctor Who. Getting the Doctor's personality just right is always a challenge, and the wibbley wobbley, timey wimey-ness of most of his adventures are a pain to get straight as a viewer, never mind a writer.
And now for something completely different: I always wonder how old the authors of my favourite fanfics are, but I think it goes without saying that most people don't announce it to the world. I was born in 1994, so that makes me 22. I'm also from Belgium, so English is not my native language, but I don't write in Dutch. I did live in the US for a year, so I do have some experience.
I also recently created a Twitter account, which I will use primarily (but not solely) as a way to provide update info and a place where I can talk to my readers. (@AnneLilianJ)
Fanfiction ideas currently rattling around in my head: (24 at last count, but I'll only mention the most interesting ones)
-Ripples (working title); Harry Potter: a Ron-centered time travel fic. It's a little bit fix-it, because I tend towards happy fics as opposed to drama/hurt filled ones.
-Sophie Mars (working title); Veronica Mars: yes, this is a baby fic, I couldn't help myself, okay? It's LoVe (obvs), but I like to think it's not too sappy or drama-filled.
-Cake Mix; Merlin: A FemMerlin fic (as is my usual) Modern AU. It was based off a prompt, and it basically lets Arthur and Merlin meet in college, though there's less animosity between them in the beginning. Just a fun, fluffy read so far.
-No curse AU; OUAT: Just what the title says, really. Emma is abducted as a child by Rumple and locked in a tower (à la Rapunzel). 12-15 years later, Killian decides to try to find her for the 10k gold reward offered. Captain Swan, obviously.
-Dawn Treader rewrite; Narnia: Basically, Voyage of the Dawn Treader, but with Susan aboard. Suspian-centered.
-Stolen (working title); Vampire Academy: AU in which Rose was stolen from the academy at a very young age. She was found by humans and put into the foster system. She is a difficult child and goes from home to home and eventually runs away at 13 to become a master thief. Meanwhile, Victor managed to abduct Lissa without anyone knowing and has been keeping her locked up. Rose breaks into a house, which turns out to be Victor's, and frees Lissa.
-Ancient Greece (working title); Percy Jackson: the God Aion sends Percy and Annabeth back to ancient Greece, where they have to battle monsters and prove to their parents that they are who they say they are.
-Super (working title); Merlin: FemMerlin Modern AU in which Merlin decides to start using her powers to save people, vigilante style. Basically a superhero AU.
-So. Many. More. Ideas... I seriously can't write them all down. If you're curious, though, PM me, I'll send you a list :p
-A woman's love is NOT abandoned, but also won't be updated regularly. I have started writing the end, though, so it's about 3 chapters from being done.
-A Bond Mended is being worked on whenever inspiration strikes, but I still love this story and don't plan on abandoning it any time soon.
-A Bloom in Winter is up on my friend's profile. It's a GoT Jon/Margaery fic, so Go CHECK IT OUT!! Her penname is MaryEvH. It's on a bi-weekly updating schedule.
-My Flash one-shot series Something New is not a priority to me right now, and will get updated whenever inspiration strikes, same with All That Matters and Letters.
-Unfortunately, The Wolf and the Storm is on HIATUS because of lack of inspiration.
-And lastly, Living With Emma is, unfortunately, ABANDONED, because I reread what I had and I cringed because it was pretty bad. I've gotten so much better since then, and I just don't like how it turned out. It was a little too Mary Sue for me.
That's all, folks, PM me if you have questions/requests.
