I am God's favorite sitcom. Yep, I'm Charlie Brown, Al Bundy & Bad Luck Schleprock all rolled into one. Depeche Mode was right, he does have a sick sense of humor and he's laughing his butt off at my misery. But here, I get to show that I'm more than a pathetic sight gag. My creative writing has brought forth accolades from teachers and other fans alike. So read on, and if you've enjoyed my stories, please let me know, I always like to hear a kind word now and then.
I'm obsessed with Megamind, and find myself totally in love with him. At my age ... what strange middle-aged/2nd childhood thing is this? Oh, well ... it's fun anyway. I even play the Mega Millions lottery using numbers he speaks in the movie, I figure if that exact combination hits, how can the great & powerful Katz turn me down when I call and tell him I want to fund the sequel (and at least a Christmas special)!
I plan to write lots of Megamind fic so check back from time to time. There are some great writers of Megamind fic here but my #1 fave is Hunger4Righteousness. All her stuff is excellent and she picks up on the same stuff I do in the canon, I recommend anyone who likes Megamind and is here to read that fic check all her stories out, and leave reviews, she loves that! Running a close 2nd is SapphireGirl93, her stuff is very sweet & heartfelt, check it out and she adores reviews too! And you won't want to miss the work of ladyspock7, she captures characters really well, when I win that Mega Millions lottery all of these faves will be on my list to brainstorm ideas with, ladyspock7 will be in charge of Psycho Delic.
Hunger4Righteousness and I tackled one story in tandem, writing basically the same story from different viewpoints. It's a fun little romp based on a hysterically funny item I found on eBay. It's real, I swear! I bought it! The story is called "The Comfy Chair." We decided to share custody and it currently resides in my list. There's even a pic from the chair's box to show you what it looks like. Small, but enough to give you a visual. Check it out, you'll be glad you did.
I've started a petition to impress upon Dreamworks that Megamind does have a large audience of fans who would happily throw money at them by the fistful for more of our sexy blue space cowboy. The crux of it is to hit them in the wallet, since that's what they're basing their decision on. It states that the signers will not spend money on any other DW projects until they confirm they're working on a sequel. Now, I'm not your mom or the petition police, so I don't really care if you adhere to the dogma of this petition, as I am doing. I just think that if DW sees enough people willing to say it, they'll believe we are serious enough to spend tons of money if they do give us a sequel. If the link below doesn't show, go to thepetitionsite (which is a dot com) and search for it by title, "More Megamind Please!"
PLEASE NOTE* While reading the reviews of another author who is a dear friend, I learned that she had posted a link to this petition in her profile, because some thoughtless person defiled their review with a rant about how wrong they think it is to be supporting the petition. I'm so sorry for my friend, because she's a gentle person who takes things very personally. I don't judge people harshly for not wanting to sign, that's their prerogative. But I think they should respect our views equally, and realize we have the right to band together with like-minded individuals who wish to at least proclaim that we will use our consumer dollars in peaceful protest to make our voice heard with a corporation who only understands things with a $ in front of them.
