So to describe me in short, I live to read. Books for me are addicting. The written word has a hold over me that can not be broken. I love that feeling on escaping for a few hours and taking an impossible journey filled with danger and fear from the safety of your favorite comfy chair. And books unlike TV, allow you to be creative. They leave room for you to flavor the world with your imagination. Sure the template is set in stone but the colors are yours for interpretation.
Don’t get me wrong, I love TV as well. I love spend time in front of the TV routing my characters on. Who doesn’t?
I am addicted to fan fiction because of two very simple yet infinitely dangerous words. ‘What if……..?’Mostly I write for my own enjoyment…. Or to get the nagging ideas out of my mind so that I can concentrate on other things until a new idea grabs hold. But when I start a story and people show interest i write to tell them a story, to take the character(That i am claiming no ownership of) out for a spin. But I always enjoy feedback. It helps me learn and grow as a writer.
My all time favorite books, ones that I would recomanend to everyone are….
The Name of the Wind, Patrick Rothfuss
Belgarath the Sorcerer, David Eddings
Master Harper of Pern, Anne McCaffery
