I've grown up around books and reading for as long as I can remember. I got into reading very young and then Harry Potter came out at exactly the time I was old enough to appreciate how well written it is and also while I was still young enough to see the magic in it. I have a vivid imagination so created my own vision of Hogwarts and I loved every word of the books (I remember reading Order of the Phoenix in 2 days when it first came out). I grew up with Harry Potter, it was my childhood all the way until the final film came out while I was at University. I discovered this website while doing my GCSE's and as I have always had a vivid imagination I've always wanted to be a writer. The stories captured me and soon I was addicted to Harry Potter fanfiction so much so that I started to try and come up with my own ideas for stories.
I've always loved writing and Luna as a character appealed to me because she is very unique and true to herself, and came around at a time when reading about someone who was happy being themselves was exactly what I needed (Evanna Lynch's portrayal of Luna is fantastic as well). In the back of my mind I always hoped and thought that Neville and Luna would get together, they seemed to suit each other so well, but then they didn't get together and any thought of it being left open was squashed. This is why I was so happy when the last movie put them together, that's one of the few changes in the movies I can accept and enjoy. I wanted to explore their relationship some more and the more fanfiction I read about them and the more I write the more I believe they are perfect for each other.
I've never really shipped Hermione with Ron or Harry with Ginny for that matter, I don't know why, I just can't see it, maybe it's because the trio were all such strong characters that I focused on that rather than who they would end up with. One day though a Hermione/George story just walked into my head, same with a Hermione/Fred one, and since then I've shipped Hermione with the twins.
So I'm just a massive Harry Potter fan who loves what JK Rowling has created and wants to bring my own imagination to it as much as possible.
