Well, my name is Megan and I am currently 26 but weeks from being 27. I live in a small town in Missouri but I am originally from Jersey. When I was young, I moved to Texas and resided there for eight years before moving back to Jersey for a year. After that, I moved to Florida and spent an interesting year in Key West. Then, I moved back to Jersey for a year before ending up here in Missouri where I have been for almost two years. Recently, I welcomed my first child, an adorable little guy, into the world.

Obviously I have a strong interest in FanFiction, otherwise I would not have signed up for this site. Writing is a hobby of mine and I plan to get an Associates Degree in it after I finish my Bachelor’s in History, yes, I am a History major! Though History is my future career, I do love to write and plan to someday write my own book, but who knows when that will be. I have a friend with a few books available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, as well as other book store sites. Also, I have a friend who is working on having her first book published and I am super excited for her! While I do Dab in the FanFic cookie jar, I haven’t done any recent works. Both my stories are pretty old and one, I republished after a few minor tweaks that it needed. The other story, the Vampire Academy one, needs a lot of work and I haven’t had the time to go back and do any editing to it.

I always feel like I am chattering on about nothing when I try to fill out my profile, so I am just going to move on to books that I like.

My all time favorite series is The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R Ward. Her books are amazingly written with intense and romantic plots. She has the right amount of danger and well, she has some amazing sexual acts. Her characters range from dark and tortured to comedic and entertaining. It really is hard not to love them, I tried and failed miserably. Out of all the guys, Tohrment is by far my favorite. He lost everything, but proves strong.

Well, I do believe it is safe to say that I also have a spot for Vampire Academy, considering a wrote a FanFic on it. I love the world she created as well as the majority of her characters. Sadly, there are a few things in the particular world of this set of work that I am not a fan of. However, she is an exceptional writer. While on the topic of Richelle Mead’s work, I should say I adore her Dark Swan series and Bloodlines spinoff. She proves how talented she is yet again in both of these series and I can’t wait for the next releases in each. In fact, the release of the next Eugenie book is in just a few days from when I am writing this!

I am torn on Twilight. While their are a good many things I like, there are probably just as many that I don’t. Her world is good and her writing is far from horrible, but it is not the best I have come across. Nothing personal to Stephanie Meyers, I just have a strong opinion on the writing I read. But, I do love her wolves, they are my favorite part of the books, no question there. I think my biggest problem with the book was the relationship between Bella and Edward. For me, I felt it was almost stalkerish and a little creepy, but that is just me. Yes, I did read all the books and I have seen all the movies and I do prefer the books over the movies, with the exception of the parts of the movie involving Jacob. Which by the way, makes me feel old and creepy considering his age. ;) Also, just because the books aren’t on my list of favorites, it doesn’t mean I don’t enjo a good FanFic from it.

Another of my top series is the Cassie Palmer one by Karen Chance. Karen writes beautifully and I find myself lost in the world of Cassie and her friends, like the handsome brooding mage and dangerously sexy vamp lover. I would love to have something autographed by Karen Chance considering she is one of my favorite authors.

Next on my list would have to be the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. I love shape shifter stories and Briggs has an amazing one, with many other elements of course. Mercy is an incredibly heroic heroine with quite a story to share. She goes through so much, including kidnapping and rape. Between Sam and Adam, I’m not sure which is hunkier, there is always a good dose of testosterone in the books. Shifter, Fey, and Vampire, OH MY! Patricia Briggs is the only author I have been lucky enough to have an autographed book from.

I have many, many, more favorites but my hand hurts and I don’t want to keep typing right now.
