Author has written 10 stories for Phantom of the Opera, Pride and Prejudice, American Girl, Elephant Princess, H2O: Just Add Water, and Phantom of the Opera.
I'm 23 years old at present and I fully realize that by posting this I'm making a pledge to update my profile at least once a year. So be it. I like to stalk the ages of my favoritists and reviewers, so why not extend the kindness?
It is my firm belief that "art begets art." Whether its a great novel, an outstanding piece of photography, or a classical concerto, I believe the best art inspires more. My favorite films and books leave me wanting more. More of the characters, more of the story, and a chance to explore new perspectives and alternate "realities" of those stories. I'm an aspiring author myself, and if I ever get published I hope my work excites people to write some of their own fics.
Knock on wood.
It seems that unemployment is the best recipe for getting stories written! If I would have known as much, I would have quit a long time ago! I jest. Mostly. My love of travel and good food means that I shouldn't stay jobless for too long, but enjoy the updates while they last!
Ye Ole Pairings:
I suppose a peek at my ideal pairings would benefit. (I don't read or write slash, nor will I ever. Never, ever, ever. The end.)
Phantom of the Opera;
Ironically, I joined this site to find Raoul/Christine stories and have since moved on to enjoy Erik/Christine as well. I still hold true to my belief that Raoul and Christine were absolutely in love, and therefore the gradual transfer of affections must come naturally and true to character. I see no point in reading a tragedy since we have the original text for that. I enjoy both book and musical versions and someday wish to find (or write) a good Erik/OC as well as some Raoul fluff.
Strangely against all I stated above, I will be writing an Erik/Christine story set in a turn of the century asylum. My Beta has rubbed off on me. I'm going rogue and not being very nice to Raoul.
Speaking of which! My best friend and Beta has written two amazing Phantom stories that have made me fall in love with the Erik and Christine pairing. One is published on Amazon, and the other can be found here: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/9268793/1/A-Rose-in-Winter
Pride and Prejudice;
Since I can't even imagine a better story ending than the original book, I find Pride and Prejudice fics to be mere amusement. Yes, I do take some fan fictions more seriously than canon, though Pride and Prejudice is not one of them. (Refer to Twilight section.)
H2O: Just Add Water;
Lewis and Cleo belong together. As do Rikki and Zane. Bella should not exist, nor should Will. I'm for Emma/Ash all the way. I've written one of my own that fixes Season 2 as it should have been and continues onwards. My sister is a genius and made a video for it with a song I had no idea even existed. However, be warned that it contains spoilers, sort of.
I'm also working on a more grim twist in the tale called Dark Side of the Moon.
Thanks to my best friend and Beta finding this through Netflix, I wholeheartedly accepted the challenge of fixing the show's errors. And there was much to fix. Kuru is simply adorable, but even Alex isn't good enough for him. I do not accept anything that happens from Season 2. Vashan should always be the magical nemesis, Kuru deserves a woman who loves him, and neither he nor Alex should end up with betrayers of Manjipoor. Not to worry. I fixed everything with slavery and babies! ...that came out weird, but it's true!
I am very fond of Guycentric stories with only a slight preference for OFC's. Although I appreciate the established relationship between him and Marian, I do find it off-putting to kick Robin to the curb. His overall redeeming quality was the love for his Lady. Furthermore, I do not believe in Season 3. From the 12th episode of the 2nd season and onward (bloody writers!!) Robin Hood ceased to exist.
The further removed from the source material, the better. You may be sure that I don't say that about any fandoms except this one. I do enjoy canon stories about characters who are not Edward and Bella, (primarily Jasper/Alice and Carlisle/Esme) but my favourites are the historical and/or kidnap fics. Darkward/angst is always a plus, and when Jacob is a bad guy who dies I am most happy. Canon pairings are lovely so far as they're taken out of canon and put into better stories.
