Author has written 3 stories for Twilight.
I'm a thirty something mother of two beautiful little boys who has a husband who travels far too much and a full time job. So yeah, I'm just a bit busy. I love coming up with storylines in my head, but don't enjoy the writing process so much. My husband says I need a ghost writer...he may well be right!!
Things I really hate and will try not to do in any of my fics...
-give the story away in authors notes. I hate it when I read something about a story in the author's notes that gives away what's going to happen. It can be as simple as "this is a really exciting chapter", you can be guaranteed I will no longer find it exciting. I'll only make a comment at the end of the chapter relating to what you've just read. And my stories are rated M for a reason - so there will be no warnings at the start of chapters either...no lemon warnings, not tissue alerts etc.
- tell you that someone is "popping the p"...this drives me insane.
- cut up a conversation that is being had with way too many thoughts. You just lose track of the conversation if there are three paragraphs of thoughts and then the conversation continues with one line and then another three paragraphs of thoughts. A few thoughts definitely, a few hundred words absolutely not. Just let the conversation flow!!
Other stuff I hate...
- people who leave a really negative review without signing in. If you've got something to say, I'm happy to hear it, however have some balls and sign your review so I can reply if I feel it's appropriate. Your point might actually be very valid and I may like to discuss it with you. If you don't sign in I may just, (and have been known to), go berko at you in an author's note so that everyone has to read about it.
...having said all of that I'm sure I do lots of annoying things. So feel free to tell me (as constructively as possible!!). I'm always happy to be corrected or helped out along the way.
