Author has written 4 stories for Mighty Ducks, and Lord of the Rings.
For a brief explanation concerning my absence, read the last post in the 'Update' list.
Ay me! for aught that I could ever read,
A Midsummer Night's Dream, Act 1, Scene 1, 132 - 134
It's a dangerous business going out your front door.
J. R. R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
I am no bird; and no net ensnares me; I am a free human being with an independent will . . .
Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre
Death is more universal than life; everyone dies but not everyone lives.
A single death is a tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic.
I suppose if you've managed to get through the steadily growing list of quotes, you have now chanced upon this most boring of Bio's.
At the beginning of '09 I created an account not knowing whether or not I would even write any stories. However, since then I've now posted a couple of stories and am currently planning more. Now comes the default Fanfic writer plea: I would very much appreciate reviews! Before I started to post stories on Fanfic, I always glanced over the endless pleas which begged for reviews and just didn't bother...now I'm the one doing the begging! I would like constructive criticism, although sometimes I think I should just allow even the worst type of FLAMES as well. So perhaps you can get out your torch if you so wish. All that being said, I'm known to take things to heart...I know, difficult me, never satisfied. And I've probably just confused you quite a lot.
I really like to write and I think Fanfic is a good place to learn new skills, and vent ideas and emotion. There are some excellent (and then again, some not so good) movies and books which drive me to the most imaginative sorts of daydreams and stories, and hopefully one day I'll be able to share them with the world.
By the way, I'm a Beta now, so if you need me, then here I am!
What is with the new politically-correct fanfic spellcheck? For example, "Ladies" is biased and I should be using "Women" instead...no thanks! And why must I get a blue line every time I say something. Instead of "possess" I should just say "have". Where is the fun in that? Why is everything I write too passive or too complex?! It just makes me overly-anxious when posting.
Just something that I kinda realised...um, when it comes to story alert, fav author etc, I'm kinda laidback, and don't really remember that there are all those different functions. So don't take it too personally or anything.
Also, in regards to my Mighty Duck...number series (?), the number in the title just is the number of the player who is the main character. 99 - Banks, 22 - Luis, 96 - Charlie
Concerning My Writing Style:
- My chapters are short, it's true. I know some people prefer reading long chapters (myself included) but as of yet I'm unsure if I can master writing longer ones. I will attempt to do so.
- I prefer not to use crude language. I am not a prude, but sometimes you're reading a really great fic, and then a couple of uncouth words are introduced which can can slightly lessen the appeal. As for swearing, I may swear in reality, and it can be seen in my Mighty Ducks stories due to the more modern nature of those works, but in others I try to refrain.
- I'm not brilliant but I try. My punctuation and sentnece structure is reasonably good, and any spelling mistakes are the fault of my typing (I can't exactly type, I have made up my own 'incorrect' way and am prone to pressing the wrong keys).
- I will always answer your reviews as I cherish each and every one of them. That being said, if no reviews are submitted, then there is little to cherish. i.e My inspiration pales.
15th March 2011 - Yes, a long break, but maybe I'll post something soon enough. I can understand any frustration you may have with me, my vagueness is rather pathetic. September, October and November were rather busy months, and then December, January and February were leisurely. My summer was spent pondering my life thus far and the direction it was taking. I was caught in some kind of timeless, dateless spell in which I felt removed from recent past and near future. Now I have been thrust back into the delightful turmoil of reality, perhaps I may find inspiration enough to write again.
16th June 2013 - *Empty Promises Here*
1st July 2013 - New chapter posted! Let's hope I can upload some more soon.
LotR: I have considered finding photos, but for fantasy, I think imagination is the greatest tool.
Strories to be written:
Considering writing another story in the world I've currently created. Maybe I should call it the "Number Series". Then again, you don't have to read all of them to understand another, so 'series' mightn't be the best word.
A Manipulative Affair - To be written God knows when. It's a Connie/Rick story. I know it's been done before but hopefully not quite the way I'm planning it. Unfaithful partners lead to secretive and somewhat sinful meetings between the two, both of whom seem to harbour hidden agendas...or something like that. Need to give it some more thought.
Might do something for Die Hard. Have always loved that movie, as unrealistic as action movies are. Would like to explore our German terrorists in further detail. How so? I don't know. But I'll give it a go. Once I've finished my current ones ofcourse :P
Another Arwen story, or one with Haldir, I think, but that is somewhere in the future, and not worth really worrying about as I already have two stories on my plate. Hmm, wait - Arwen/Haldir! - there's not much of that around, oh that sounds fun...no, focus, you already have two stories! Something to think about then...
