I wrote a light novel! Sorta. Mostly why I haven't updated, though also been busy with other stuff. On the upside, I can work on fanfic again! The goal is finishing up either Sword of Origin or Champion of a Distant Dream by New Year's Eve. Or both. We'll see. Also currently slowly making my way through Sword of Origin and editing all of its chapters to my current standard.

On Writing: Treat all updates as if you were reading an unfinished manuscript of a first rough draft. While there are parts in there that might be brilliant, it's also likely a large majority will be faulty. It should be relatively enjoyable if you're willing to suspend your disbelief, however, and don't expect intricately structured stories.

On SAO: If you're a fan of Sword Art Online, I recommend visiting the SAO Fandom Nexus forum here on fanfiction. Some other good stories are there, along with discussions and numerous other things.

Summary: A lone tactician, wanders the Sacaen plains and embarks on an adventure with the one he meets. Yet this has already occurred before, numerous times. He is plagued by memories that are, and yet are not his. Seeking answers, he journeys once more. Heavily Alternate Universe. Heck, might as well be Alternate Dimensions.

Notes: Hard to explain what I plan to do with this story. One of the more ambitious projects of the three. I plan to deviate quite a bit from the plotline especially in examining the origins of the tactician and his role. Also, I will attempt to blend the in game controls as well as I can with real-life in the story.

An Empty Life: Darkened Path (On hiatus again)

Premise: Continuation of Kisen's journey in Aincrad and the consequences of being the first PKer. The Laughing Coffin begins to move and the world is that much more dangerous...

Sword of Origin: Protector of Zero

Premise: Long after the events of A Different Path, the remnant of Shirou finds himself summoned by Louise Francoise Le Blanc de La Valliere. Now as the Sword of Akasha, an existence that had lost what it meant to be human, he becomes the Heart of God. Together with his new Master, perhaps he may find the soul he once lost.

Main Arcs:

Sword of Origin: The initial summoning of Emiya Shirou and the ramifications of it, until the Albion events

To War (tentative title): Includes the events after Tarbes. Due to lack of Gandalfr, the Zero Fighter is unusable. The ramifications of that are far-reaching, and people need to step up to pick up the slack.

Clash of the Void: All out war against the scheming Void users, Void familiars, and the Elves. Rise of the Ancient Dragon.

Champion of a Distant Dream

Premise: After sacrificing himself in the Normal end of "A Different Path", Shirou finds himself resurrected by Pandora as the Eighth Campione. A Supreme Ruler. A Devil. A Godslayer... and the Sword Saint of an Unreachable Dream. The endless Horizon awaits.

A Fulfilling Nightmare

Premise: I get thrown into Fire Emblem Awakening someway or another and adopt the identity of the old Fire Emblem 7 tactician, Mark. Just something I'm writing for fun in my downtimes between the intense story drafting of my other fics. Of course, since it's mindless writing, updates for this will probably be faster and regular compared to my other stories simply because I don't edit it.

A Nightmare Fulfilled

Premise: (slightly) more realistic take on the SI idea of me getting thrown into Fire Emblem and taking advantage of Dark Magic to get strong. Might or might not be ridiculous depending on my mood at the time of writing it.

A Chronicle of Fate (Scrapped)

Summary: History states that the Eight Heroes and the Divine Weapons ended the Scouring. But is that true? It's hard to believe that the tide of war could shift so suddenly. The truth lies in the forgotten ninth hero. Follow his legacy as a new story begins.

Notes: Primarily a novelization of the game. A what-if scenario where the tactician is a descendant of a hidden ninth hero from the Scouring. Focus will be primarily on his life as he readies for battle and his destiny.

Pairings: Mark x Florina (Friendship)

A Different Path (Complete)

Premise: Kirito is summoned as Servant Saber in the Fifth Holy Grail War. Slight differences in Shirou's mentalities culminate in a different route to Canon. Kirito's presence and competence results in many gambits being put into play earlier than usual.

Meant to be read for the sake of seeing characters do awesome things. Might require a larger suspension of disbelief than usual, though it should be entertaining at least.

Premise: A prodigy who has had an meaningless life joins Sword Art Online to find a meaning. OC and AU. Volume 1.

Different Paths (Complete)

Premise: Kirito is definitely an extraordinary individual. Also, his reputation in the virtual worlds give him the status of a gilded hero. With the virtual realities being as close to reality as possible, yet still under Gaia's domain, it isn't *too* far a stretch to say he could become a Heroic Spirit. Mostly Crack Oneshots. First is semi-serious. Second is utter crack. Third is a sad look on what could have been. Fourth is the change wrought by Kirito's presence. More to come when I get bored.

Live to Lie, Lie to Live (Scrapped)

Premise: Follows the story of a Beacon candidate whose life is built up of lies and secrecy. I've got plans for it to be dark, namely involving super-human experimentation and the like.

While there are elements I like from this story, it no longer resonates with me. Partly because I can't see a way to proceed without marginalizing Jaune, and I quite like Jaune, but mostly because writing it now is like trying to keep a house of cards steady while tossing rocks on top.

The Fallen Tactician (Scrapped)

Summary: The final battle against the dragons ended in failure and Elibe's heroes were lost. Now given a second chance, Mark starts his journey anew, but this time the rules have changed. Can he guide the heroes to the end? Or is their fate set in stone?

Notes: A peggy sue type story where the tactician is sent back in time. The consequences of said time travel will also be examined. Also, enemies beyond Nergal and the dragons will appear. Third-person pov. Also, tie in with FE 13. How that happens will not be revealed for a while yet.
